Sturridge was subbed out for Lambert after the first half of extra time I believe. You didn't miss anything trust me. Both teams were attacking with 3 players each

tbh. im not that botherd about going out. but had sterling or sturridge taken one of them good chances in the first half it was over. but could have done without extra time. lots of players tired. and a good few injured. not great for the city game.

Besiktas deserved to win, we were absolutely shite in the 2nd half tonight and probably lucky to take it to extra-time and penalties.

Sterling with an absolutely horrible performance and Sturridge not much better & looked unfit in the second half. Difficult to score when two thirds of your attack are having shockers.

Moreno has a very good powerful shot and is mentally strong. Kolo has scored in 3 shootouts this season+preseason.

Both better choices than Lovren. Heck Mignolet would have been a better choice than Lovren.

im more pissed off that this game will affect the city game. we were looking tired before this game. we wont have any legs for the city game. only good point was can. was by far our best player.

Rodgers f**** up in the half time talk, because we could have easily controlled the game in the second half also. He could have made the subs early.. tbh there were many things wrong, but it seems useless now talking about it !!

Can seemed to hobble around in the end...I hope he is fine for the City game. Another impressive thing was, for the first time in this season, Allen played so many forward passes :coffee:

tbh mate I know we all hate to lose. but I think this is a good thing. do we realy want to be playing these games right now. we have picked up in the lge. and are in the mix for top 4. more of these Thursday night games around Europe will just tire us out even more. we have a good draw in the FA cup. and a good chance of 4th. I think tomorrow we will all forget about this.
