LVG should have played many of the senior players. But that's all hindsight. Even I thought our youngsters would have had enough to beat a league 1 team.

7 players either made there debut or 2nd appearance tonight for the first team...but ya full strength power house out there tonight rittled with first team world class players.

Don't think they got anything wrong results wise last season tbh. Although they could have played better their results weren't that bad.

It's the expectations of them being a top 4 club when they are nowhere close is the problem. Then the players are called flops for not achieving said unrealistic goals.

Agreed. Spurs were never a proper top 4 club imo. More of a top 5-6 club.

Seriously though, this is complete BS. Had we not dropped points against West Ham, Newcastle, Hull, and West Brom we would not only have comfortably been in the top 4 but we could have pushed for the title.

That is the frustration of last season being such a waste due to the instability AVB's rigidity and Sherwood's shenanigans with our lineups.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea are comfortably better.

Everyone drops points to scrubs doesn't change the fact you finished about where you should have done. Do I need to remind you about Sherwood's record as manager? You couldn't have done much better in terms of wins and losses.

As I said the performance level should have been higher but results wise? No and if anything you are further reinforcing my point about the absurdly unrealistic expectations.
