The more I see on Mat Ryan the more interesting the link is. He's a bit on the smaller side, but he's really athletic and on top of that his distribution is absolutely fantastic. Would really fit in with our team. He also seems to be quite vocal and commanding. Obviously the worry about his height would be corners and set pieces, leaving us praying he doesn't get bullied but...









Looks the goods. Aside from one bad game against the Netherlands in the WC he was pretty good there too. He certainly seems a better fit than Mignolet at the moment for how Rodgers would like to play.

Just look at the teams he faced. I will only consider him if we have a great keeper starting for us.

Yeah but team quality aside you can see the precision and confidence in his distribution. You could also argue look at who he has making movement for him. Just look at the way that as soon as he has the ball his head is up and he's ready to move -- that would be great for us. He doesn't really seem to second guess himself ever, and he's very loud in the box.

Again though I don't watch him regularly. I do know that picture above shows his stats for the entire season, and as you can see in the video above it's not like he's just making easy saves.

If i had to chose between the two, Mig would be on the bench. Don't get me wrong since his move to Club Brugge i haven't seen him much besides when he plays for australia. He was gun in the A-league and is still gun for our national team.

El cujo has painted a good picture of him, his distribution is 100% better than Mig's, he commands his defense better and is a better shot stopper than Mig.

He was okay in the A league at a young age, not sure what he's done in Belgium but settle eh. If he comes, he'll be challenging Brad Jones on who sits on the bench.

The whole keeper dilemma needs a coach. It doesn't need new players. It needs suitable background staff.

You can't teach Mignolet to have the type of command and confidence that Ryan has. He has never had it, and never will.

Well Mig's distributions have been very poor. However, we need a all-round better keeper. Let's hope we get a good/great one.

Lets just keep blaming the coaching staff for everything, if Mig needs a coach to teach him the basics of keeping well i don't know wtf your expecting.

Ryans distributions is hands down better than Mig's and his a better shot stopper as well.

Honestly vsing jones is probably a compliment, the only reason Mig is in goals is cause jones is injured

I had my doubts about Mig when he had joined Liverpool. The doubts were not about his ability, but about whether he can maintain and improve himself when playing for Liverpool. I dont think we should blame everthing on coaching that is really stupid. Coaching can take you only so far that putting you on the pitch. If you are not able to catch the basic crosses and saves which are considered basic for a club like Liverpool, you have to help yourself.

Also, for how much is Suso gone ? At least 1-2m €?
