Transfer In: Ibe (loan return/Derby)
Transfer Out: Suso (free/Milan)

Rodgers has said multiple times we're not going to be doing much in the transfer window and that's fine. Realistically speaking we need Sturridge healthy more than anything, and with the change in formation we've seen quite a bit of success with our current personnel.

If we're going to buy big players the real options are going to be available in the summer not in the winter.

I'd still like to take a punt on a keeper this window, but if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen.

Not sure how reliable le10sport is but they're claiming Liverpool has contacted Lyon about Lacazette and are preparing a big bid for him, though they'd be rivaled by PSG if anything were to come out in the winter.

I won't hold my breath.

I hate it being linked with hot names in the market and we ultimately manage to lose it. We will never get those big names, specially when clubs like PSG are involved and also the fact that we are not yet in CL spot.

If we get CL, Lacazette may choose to join us in the summer if we're still interested.

Well it is interesting. There is a lot of incentive for us to get better especially with the extra money from the CL so making a 'big buy' would not be out of the question. Maybe Rodgers' turnaround of the season has given the board more faith in him. If they give him the money for this transfer, and let's not kid around this transfer would take a lot of money, that would really be something.

On top of this he is not cup tied so he could make an impact on our Europa League chances as well.

That said I am really not holding my breath over any transfers this window. It's almost closed and given the way we negotiate even if we did put a bid in we would need until March to finalize things.

I really don't fancy a big move for Lacazette during this window. True, he has been awesome since last season but he hasn't been tested against big teams. Also, the price would be outrageous and we can afford a more proven player for the same amount. Besides, he will take time to settle and that begs the question how much he will contribute for this season.

Can't see Lyon willing to sell him this window anyways. They have a chance of winning ligue 1 and Lacazette is having an absolutely stellar season and his price tag will probably only keep rising. Aulas is pos, he ain't stupid and will milk his new gem.

Just sign a keeper and then go with what we've got.

Is it smart to buy right now? Will any of our targets even come here in the winter? If we're looking to make a big splash the reality is that most of the ready-made players, or great players, aren't available in the winter. Plus we don't even know if he has money available.

Sturridge coming back will help us more than any player we can buy in this window.

Actually there isn't any available & affordable player who can improve our squad. Our biggest transfer wish should be that the squad is fit for the reminder of the season.

David Marshall of Cardiff, anyone? Sky Sports picked him in their Team of the Season last season and was mostly terrific. Cardiff aren't in the promotion battle, so just tap the player up and put in a £5m-8m bid and see what happens. Would do no harm.

Fernando Muslera would be a good buy. =3

If any if the mentioned keepet is young, BR should convince FSG to do it because they can always resell in case it doesnt work out
