Don't think it was useless. Bullying is really a problem in America. 99% chance you got bullied in school in America unless you were the bully himself. The scene added more realism and relatibility for the audience. What bothered me was the last part of the movie.

It's just such a wonderful film to me. Maybe because I'm also at the same stage of life atm as Mason ended it in the film. I just finished high school and will be going off to college soon.

Here's to skipping orientation and hooking up with a girl while doing some drugs while we're at it, all on the first day

Friend showed me the trailer for 'The Elephant Man'

There is no way I am watching that film. I wouldn't get past 20 minutes.

Anyone seen it?

8.2 on imdb and 90% on RT and directed by David Lynch

Unless it's a remake you're talking about hmm

EDIT: oh nvm, just read about it and recalled RG is a little bit of a scaredy cat for some strange things in life.

When I came across it on IMDb i thought about watching it, like 2 years ago or so. But then I forgot about it all this while. Might as well just go back and check it out. Thanks for the reminder man. Thumbs up

Nah the 1980 one.

It's not about being scared. I couldn't care less about how he appears. but that film looks to be the biggest tear jerk I've ever seen. Even watching the trailer was hard.

It probably is a great film. Freeza and Lumiere might love it because of the art and screenplay.

Mullholland Drive is just the appetizer. All though a pretty brilliant appetizer. Then theres The Lost Highway, Inland Empire, Blue Velvet and of course the GOAT called Eraserhead (A film I am effing scared to even finish watching. Only reached half way until now silent Gives me creeps just thinking about it ) And then theres also that very non Lynch-esque Straight Story where he treaded a completely different path. My favorite's of course Mullholland drive. But the others are not too far behind. Not to mention All of them are mind bleeps. Very Happy
I am yet to watch Twin Peaks btw, slated as one of the finest ever tv series to have ever created.

btw I watched Fury today. Are there fans here? I have seen positive comments about the film here so I reckon there must be. So Pardon me when I am saying I am thoroughly disappointed by the film. As a historical war film it was well, quite poor. It was more like a sci fi film with no realism whatsoever. These Hollywood movies that delve into subjects like these, these days they are trying to even rewrite history. Albeit as a mere CGI, action, film I enjoyed it.
my score 5/10.

But I guess you know better dude.

Also first war movie I've seen to finally feature tracer bullets.

I loved it because it was entertaining, great acting from Shia and Bernthal. And the horror they portrayed in each character. Also love Ayer's dialogue a lot, he really knows how to make men interesting when interacting in a group dynamic.
Whoever said this was a historical drama anyways? Ayer is an action drama director, and one of the best ones out there imo. Training Day, Fury, End of Watch. Three great movies in the action genre from him, even though he only wrote the first.

Just saw Gone Girl

All that i can think about is 'that' scene (You know which one) and its so hauntingly vivid, the music that was playing also gave me goosebumps, such a soul-stirring scene.

The song

Great movie overall

So in short is it saying what is showed is true ?? Extremely sorry as I right now have no time to read that. Its 4 20 am here. pale Will read it tomorrow when i get time. Thumbs up
And i assume from the starting lines that its the about the sherman tank and the credibilty of that right. But it was the ending what was more unreal for me.

Have to agree with Freeze here.
Fury was great imo. Sprung right up there to the top of my favourite war films list. The acting and dialogue was phenomenal as was the action scenes.

War films can sometimes go a bit too extreme with the actual war scenes, I like it when the drama and the characters are given more precedence. And I think that's what Fury does all the way up to that ending which was really satisfying to me.

Dont get me wrong I liked the 'movie' as well. I was very impressed by it. The only problem just after watching for me was the climax which I felt  was a bit over the top, still I liked to give it the benefit of the doubt and rated it highly.
But then, when I checked the Internet (IMDb, wiki et al) and found out what the real deal was. How inaccurately history was interpreted here, even in this day and age where we have all the data, and resources to differentiate the exact turn of events, it was too much for me, to assimilate, the basic negligence of facts.
Then I also came across stuff that said about how naive the director was when it came to that particular highlight sequence of the film.
spoiler alert:
spoiler alert again:

I cant turn a blind eye to all those things and simply concentrate on the 'movie' aspect of the flick, which I absolutely admit was top notch. Acting, characterization and other things were really good. Brad Pitt was class as usual.
