I don't think it's unpolished anymore tbh, he straight bullies smaller guards on the block and quite frankly you'd have to go some to find a bigger and stronger guard.

His outside shot still needs work IMO, it's better but he can improve it the rest of his offense is great. Only question is if he can sustain it.

I don't actually see why not as the things he's doing are very easy to sustain as it's not like he's hitting jumpers at an insane percentage. He's getting inside, cutting back door and getting to the line.

Watched what Barkley had to say about Warriors last night. Completely disagree. He says we're gonna get killed by bigger teams and that jump shooting teams don't go far.

First, we've got the best interior defense in the whole league and Bogut is one of the best Defensive C in the league. The only reason we lost to the Clippers last season in 7 games was because Bogut missed the whole series. We are now a better team offensively and defensively.

And secondly, we are not just jump shooting team contrary to popular belief We've got the 2 best shooters in the game playing for us so of course we're going to utilize their abilities and shoot more. But we can score a million different ways. And our bench is deep as frak.

I personally think we're top 3 contenders after the clear favorite Spurs.

He's talking about a low post scorer and in that sense I agree with him.

There hasn't been a single championship team since well forever lol who did it without a low post scorer.

Detroit in 2004 did. Rasheed wasn't a big time low post scorer at all for them in that playoff run. Heck we've got David Lee who would probably get more points down low than Rasheed did for them. And Speights is surprsing great off the bench. And Ben Wallace was more of defensive presence than anything to do with offense. Bogut is much more productive in the offense than Ben Wallace was for them.

It's possible to win a championship when your team has a very strong core with a great all around starting line up, which we do. I'm not saying we'll win it, but we are definitely a contender.

While his premise makes sense, it still possible to win other ways.

Still we're not on Spurs level. If someone takes out Spurs for us I really think the whole thing will be open for our taking.

Well yeah but how likely is it? It's not impossible no but it's very rare it happens.

I like David Lee and personally feel he's underrated but when you look at him compared to Dirk, Z-Bo, Duncan, Griffin and Aldridge it's not a favourable match up at all.

I won't say it's impossible but I do agree with the overall premise of Barkley's point. Not that you live and die by jumpers because I don't believe you do, but someone who you can throw the ball to and get an easy shot would greatly increase your chances.

Well today's game really focuses more on stretch 4s really partnered with a more reserved defensive Cs just as a body presence than a game changer. The game is changing. Era of dominating guards than big man if you will.

I think Barkley's premise would makes sense if we were still in his era.

P. S. And I forgot to mention the Heat as well. Bosh was basically a catch and shoot stretch 4 for them in their 2 championships rather than any sort of low post scorer

Lebron was their low post scorer though and Wade to some extent.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a 7 footer, just someone who can score and pass out of the post at an elite level, the game maybe more perimeter orientated.

But the need for someone who you can chuck the ball to in the post and get a bucket is still a necessity.
