I don't disagree but I don't think hand checking was the only reason, Bird's shooting ability in this era would give him a major advantage and his stats would probably get majorly inflated compared to what it was.

As I said I agree but I understand the thought process.

Jordan offensively with this soft defense would obliterate most teams without breaking a sweat. I know Bird's a great player. But there is no reasonable argument for not picking Jordan over Bird.
