Picture has it wrong

Fabiano>Adriano.

Both won Confederations cup and Copa Americas during their run. Fabiano was more of a strikers striker. Adriano was just the specimen.

The drop off from Fabiano/Adriano to Fred is ridiculous, lol. Things would of been better for Brazil had Diego Costa decided for them instead of Spain.

WC+CA+CC

Fabiano 10 goals / 1400 minutes = 140 minutes per goal
Fred 8 goals / 985 minutes = 123 minutes per goal

Fabiano 10 goals / 36 team goals = 28% importance
Fred 8 goals / 33 team goals = 24% importance

Ridiculous drop. hmm

Oh definitely Adriano had a fear factor about him that Fabiano definitely did not have. The thing is, he could barely have the ball yet be sitting on a hat trick before you know it(Confederations cup final 2009 a big example of this).

His performance in Argentina during qualifying in 2009 remains one of the best striker performances I have ever seen too.

Like, he stole the soul from them. I remember him being unplayable that night.

Luis Fabiano stats are heavily deflated by that 2004 copa america where he was having to play second fiddle to Adriano.

Robinho's career best performance - he was player of the tournament in Copa America 2007.

I have always thought no coach brought as much out of Robinho as Dunga did.

He was Brazil's best in 2010 too. He's kinda underrated. Very good player imo

^^ THIS

I'm still surprised people are just now getting used to South American football and how it's played.  It has been like this for as long as I can remember.

Even the announcers seem surprised.

Yesterday was a mild end of game blow up.  And yes there are more rivalries than Argentina vs Brazil.

I for one have always liked it, it's different, goals are at a premium and it's not just bus parking it's just hard play.  These guys are in such fantastic shape to play this style for 90 minutes.

I shutter to think what these guys feel like the next morning when they wake up.  It's such a difference from watching Champions League where every push and pull is called to full on clearing out players and no one even expecting a call, just getting up and getting on with it.

It's a mans game in CA.

His post match comments are disappointing as well. Says the referee was weak and unfair. We would lose count of how many players think that of how many referees. However that doesn't mean that a player can completely lose his head during a match just because he had one wrong decision given against him especially when it's a competitive match and he is the captain of the team. I saw only the highlights and even with that I felt Neymar could have been shown two red cards in this match - gave a crash course on how a player should not behave on the pitch, much less the captain.

The highlights don't do it justice. If Neymar should have been given two red cards than everyone on the field would have been sent off.

After about the 30 minute mark in that game players flat out started targeting each other and go after each other.

LOL, almost every time Falcao touched the ball he was taken out. He was on his back more than his feet last night.

Adriano 16 goals (0p) / 1487 minutes = 93 minutes per goal
Ronaldo 29 goals (2p) / 3017 minutes = 104 minutes per goal
Fred 8 goals (0p) / 985 minutes = 123 minutes per goal
Fabiano 10 goals (0p) / 1400 minutes = 140 minutes per goal

Adriano 16 goals (0p) / 35 team goals = 46% importance
Ronaldo 29 goals (2p) / 96 team goals = 30% importance
Fabiano 10 goals (0p) / 36 team goals = 28% importance
Fred 8 goals (0p) / 33 team goals = 24% importance

Well considering he was held out of the first game and was a sub for the second one because he was nursing injury I would say a qualification for him to lead Brazil to anything would be being fit to play, wouldn't you?

I dunno, you're the expert. I haven't had a chance to consult whoscored, FM or youtube about it yet.

I for one don't really have an issue with what Neymar said.  If you watched these games all tournament, it is a joke to give a card for clearing the spray in front of a spot kick with the brutal playing going on.

And make no mistake about it, like Messi and Falcao he is being targeted all match long.  Remember this is the same team that pretty much broke his back and ended his World Cup.

He's just blowing off steam.  He's young, I for one liked his attitude, he didn't back down (Falcao looked defeated last night) and wasn't going to be trading shirts after the game as the loss actually hurt.

I mean who else would you want as a captain on that team (Please don't say Dani Alves)

Well you guys do make an acceptable point. Normally Neymar's behavior should be considered terrible but considering everything else that was happening it's probably difficult for anyone to keep himself in control.

No doubt top flair players like Messi and Neymar are being targeted heavily in this tournament.

Yes Colombia (Zuniga) ended Neymar's world cup but the general feeling post match was that Brazil had been the more violent team.

I have felt the same way. Several players are captains of teams right now just because they are huge star names and some of them hardly have any leadership qualities.
