He needs 44 goals in about 40 odd games to equal Messi's 73 goal season. 45 to break it.

'Only' needs 43 goals more to break Raul's Madrid record which is pretty damn amazing in just his 6th season.

Probably going to break Messi's 50 goal La Liga season record too. 28 goals away from it and we're only 13 games in.

Maybe. I'd say it's not impossible.
But then again last season he had 16 league goals after 13 games and ended up scoring a total of 31 league goals.

Hard to predict.

If he is fit and does not get suspended, it will be a great disappointment if he doesn't get more than 50 in La Liga. That is my opinion, at least.

He is on a great run atm and he is being taken care of with regards to that ankle injury so I have no doubts this will be a huge scoring season for him. But I wouldn't want him to focus on that to the detriment of the team though

Let's hope so. Can't wait for the run-in when the games become tighter and cagier affairs how he will desperately try to take shots from all angles to break the record instead of keeping it simple and passing it on for better positioned teammates. cheers

hard to tell, with these types of records you truly need to stay 100% fit and not only that depend on your team to carry on the form.

a suspension or injury could make the record harder to surpass.

Considering Bale's attitude this season you should feel pity for him at all.

To be on topic, if Carlo will sub him more, let's say if we are 4 up and he got a hattrick, he should be able to. Last season he got injured because he played more than the GKs in the first half of the season.

It won't be that easy even if he is scoring for fun right now.

What I find more impressive it's that in 176 games he's already the 9th La liga scorer of all time with 200 goals. He's going to beat Zarra by the end of next season if injury-free.
