Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Czech striker Martin Graiciar from Viktoria Plzen.

Graiciar, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid, is due to arrive in London over the weekend for a medical to finalise the transfer.

Arsenal had tried to sign him last February, but negotiations initially hit a stalemate, before the Gunners returned with an improved offer recently.

The 15-year-old confirmed the deal on Facebook, before adding: ‘Wenger is the one who made this possible.’

Despite Krystian Bielik saying that he felt he wasn’t yet ready for first team football at Arsenal, it seems Arsene Wenger has other ideas.

The young Pole will sign officially on Monday after passing a medical today, and with the Gunners in need of reinforcement in the defensive midfield area, the Arsenal manager says he’s going to be a first team player from the off, although he admits it’s something of a risk.

Speaking to the press today, the Frenchman said, “Yes, he will go into the first-team squad. He’s a defensive midfielder, 6ft 2, he has a good energy level and technical level.

“It’s a gamble but, on what we saw, it’s worth to take the gamble. It’s an awful lot of money for a player if he doesn’t succeed. If he does succeed, then it’s cheap.”

His agent says he wants to leave Espanyol and they he's "looking at other clubs"

Happy to hear that this Moreno story is staying alive. Nice to hear that Marin is corroborating. Honestly given the options he'd be one of the 2-3 realistic signings I'd be happiest about. I've mostly seen him for Mexico rather than Espanyol, but he's often looked good when I've watched him play.

Put this in context with AW pre-match before Citeh. I think he said the clubs are reluctant to sell in January. So any noise coming from players or agents or twatters isn't amounting to anything, unless the respective club can be persuaded to sell. And we know how efficient our transfer dealings are in the best of days Thumbs up

According to Guillem Balague ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ... Man Utd have had a €35 million offer for Otamendi turned down. So if Arsenal want him he may be super expensive. And to get Gabriel Paulista, we'd have to pay €20 million release clause.

Hmm

The only problem I am seeing is that Wenger has/had a great eye in the french league. Koscielny was in no one's radar.

Paulista has been playing in La liga for a year or so and with so many teams needing a CB, no one has gone for him but us.

Probably a stupid thing to consider but I am bit sceptic.

But then, any CB is a good addition to our squad I guess.
