Sorry dude I have to disagree! Our defenders are shit! Even With Conte they were rubbish in a 3 man back line and were exposed by any team who was willing to attack us or had any kind of quality. Now we play with 2 CB's and it's obvious to see. Bonucci and Chiellini may stand out serie a but they are nothing special compared to the best!

In a 3 man back line Barzagli always cleaned up the other two's mess, gave confidence and leadership to the whole defence and team, that's why he's heavily missed.
Not sure if Ogbonna, Caceres and Rolando (?) can step up and take his place, they are excellent back-up to have, but to actually take Barzagli's place?

Well said perry, Barzagli is our only central defender that uses his head while defending. with these defenders we have to back and defend deep into our own ground against big clubs to avoid conceding and that's what happened against Athletico. I'm not blaming allegri. the poor man have not chosen even one of the current players and current transfer window is not looking bright either.
