Pep looking very not-amused there.

Pep is fine. I'll take a thrashing in the first real bad game in January every season lol.

Benatia missed most of the preparation with back problems.

Wolfsburg

Was beginning to think Bayern will go the whole season unbeaten such was a lack of comp in the league this season.

Actually the main problem of the BL is that it is too competitive, while Bayern are too consistent. The pursuers are so similar strength that they take away points from each other, while Bayern mostly persevere.

De Bruyne omg. What a performance.

Bayern were made to look much worse than they are because of the absence of the likes of Rafinha, Benatia, Javi Martinez, Lahm etc but credit to Wolfsburg they've done Malanda proud.

The Bundesliga break is ridiculous also, I bet if they had less break and added 4 more matches in their match day it'd benefit them. I mean its nice to have a little break through the season, but 6-8 week break? Thats excessive.

If the PL had a Winter break, Chelsea would have wrapped up the league by now.

Not saying they shouldn't have a winter break, but 2-3 weeks should be it.

Meh, it's no excuse. Sure it breaks our competitive rhythm, but then some of our players really could need a break, Götze, Boateng etc.
I just happen to think it's unwise to have the camp in too nice and cozy conditions, 20 degrees and such, and then come back into the ghastly winter to perform.

But anyway, we just played like shit, bad passes all over the place so it's really no wonder we'd get into trouble against any decent counter team with the super attacking formation we play.
Alonso, Robben, Müller, Lewandowski were all terrible. Alaba and Schweini tried but have little to no match practice after months out, so suddenly Bernat becomes the go to guy lmao, and while he's been surprisingly great so far, he's not that great to do it by himself lol.

And De Bruyne, what a player.

Also incredible how incapable of marking him we were.

I'm not making an excuse for Bayern, as Wolfsburg also had the break. I just think 6-8 weeks is far to excessive, look at us in La Liga we have roughly 2 close to maybe 3 weeks break and were back, players get a good enough rest as well, but here we are talking about over a month if not longer, when did your break start? Mid December?

I agree generally speaking you guys under performed, sloppy passes, not enough built, were to quick and far to aggressive giving away too many fouls, etc.

shortly before christmas.

Yeah but why not? If the schedule allows it (BuLi has just 18 teams) why not take a break to train?

Don't see what's wrong with it, also give us BuLi followers the chance to extra-appreciate the other leagues in the meantime Proud

True, but how many weeks did they train? Wasn't it only 2 weeks?

Its true you can appreciate other leagues with that spare time.

Alonso lool. No idea why he tries to dribble with his 20 agility under pressure, only to lose the ball and concede a counter.
