Tbf to Montoya how can he expect to progress playing only cup games? He's never going to be a world beater but he was the best RB of Segunda at a certain point in time.

Is Enrique just resting Suarez or is he benched because of his form. Would be quite bold if it was the latter but doubt it

All coaches in the world rotate their players apart from us. I swear we would start our first team even if we mathematically won the league. No wonder our players look dead whereas even Xavi looks lively for Barca

Yeah thought so. Enrique is very brave when it comes to rotating his players. The guy would stick Neymar/Suarez on the bench even against tough LaLiga sides. He should be applauded for that. Keeps his players fresh for the big games

He should only be applauded for it when it makes sense. Against relegation fodder like Levante? Sure. Against a team we have not won against away from home in several years? Not so much.

Seriously though why are Linesmen so bad with offsides in La Liga? The standard of general refereeing is crap in the PL but I don't usually see this many offside calls get called laughably wrong.

If it meant keeping the players fresh for a midweek game then resting 1/2 big players should not matter. Of course benching an inform Messi is another matter altogether but benching Alves/Nerman/whoever does not really matter if it's just one game every a couple or so weeks

And lets not pretend having those players would've made a difference, LaReal this season continued their great streak at home against the bigger teams which is the complete opposite to say Bilbao who have just completely regressed.

Linesmen in LaLiga don't only get offsides wrong they get everything wrong literally

Officiating as a whole in LaLiga is laughable. From linesmen to 4th reffs

Just look at how many red cards are awarded every matchday and you'll get what I mean

True I think the offside calls are the most noticeable and frequent ones though.
