Roma's window so far:

Gervinho as good as gone for roughly 13m. We'll use that money to sign Nainggolan outright as well as wrap up deals for Astori and Ibarbo.

Bertolacci and Romagnoli are returning. Bertolacci is expected to have a role in the team and will not go back out on loan. Romagnoli may go out again.

Doumbia looks next to be sold. CSKA have said they will take him back. Destro is returning, but could leave again as Roma are looking hard at Bacca and Dzeko as their top strike targets.

Cuadrado is the top replacement for Gervinho with Mou willing to let him go. Roma want him on loan with 25m option to buy. Inter's also in the frame though.

Torino have slapped a 20m price tag on Bruno Peres so it looks like we may need to offload someone like Ljajic to help fund that move. Gregory van der Wiel is another RB option being mooted. Lucas Digne is still top option at LB.

De Sanctis looks set to stay, but with Skorupski gone to Empoli, we're likely going to sign another keeper. Just remains to be seen if it will be someone who can put Batman on the bench or another understudy for him.

It's okay Robes, first order of business is to sign off on the Kova transaction.

Inter need to raid Juve and take our stars as a show of power.

Buy Isla, Ogbonna and Llorente for 45M to assert dominance and superiority over Juve.

After Genoa has been knocked out of the EL for the stadium reasons, it now seems that Sampdoria is also being investigated by UEFA. Inter could qualify for the EL after all Laughing

Great stuff from Roma . Could possibly become the best stadium in Italy , as things stand at least

i see dat stadio and then i look at Milan's stadium plans being 48.000 seats... come on , dream bigger Milan .. not sure if there are plans to expand on it in time , but 48.000?? U kidding me ? In our most shittiest of seasons lately we had more than 50.000 in big games . Milan should have at the very least a 60.000 stadio and with option to expand further.

Anyway . Roma's stadium seems massive . Laziali must be fuming Laughing

Economies of Scale Dante, the return wouldn't be enough to compensate the extra seats, if we built 60000~80000 seaters, our expense bill will overarch and plateua. It'd be much more economical to build a 45000~ and have the option to expand further, since we only attract around 35k to 40k each game.

Roma's capacity isnt that big either. Its 52K which can be increased to 60K for big finals and other non-footballing events.

Clearly a decision is being made based on the stadium attendances of the past few yrs.Like ES said, with bigger capacity comes larger maintainence costs so you can see why Juve for example have started out low and Milan are doing the same.

Besides Roma's project isnt exclusively funded by their owners. There's a certain stadium construction company involved as well as other sponsors who would help financing the project. Its pretty huge project and will cost 1.5b euros apparently. Not just the stadium, they'll build a Roma village as well so they pretty much will be totally revolutionizing the area in and around the stadium.

i understand . I still think 48.000 seems a little meh for Milan , but yeah you're both right , i guess they know what they are doing , goes for all these clubs

i still hope all stadiums will grow bigger in the future doe . In a legit Serie A and in a better Italian economy.. me thinks the big four can attract 60.000+ easily . Yet i can see why they begin this way , totally right to do so

It' d be a great stadium
And I think a stadium must not be over 50'000.
I  am in favor of reducing San Siro for example, I hate when San Siro looks like empty in most matches because it is sold out for few matches.
I prefer watching it as a  full stadium even if  it means a stadium less capacious than now

Have a huge stadium ---> complain about it being empty

Have a small stadium ---> complain about it being small

They can't win.

I feel like a 48k stadium with expandable capabilities later on would be a very good start, especially in Serie A where attendances are not all that.

Stadium revenues pale in comparison to TV revenues in any case.

We have nine players in the squad born  '91 and after.

2nd graphic explains that in comparison to other top teams, we have the highest.

Old ageing squad and all :coffee:
