So Mikel has been linked to a move with Al Ain, Asamoah Gyan (their captain) has welcomed the move.

Bertrand traore has been granted a work permit which means he can stay with us next season.

By the lack of links to AM's and GK's, it's clear we won't sign a GK unless Cech is sold and it's likely we want to keep our current AM's plus Traore, therefore not needing another.

We've apparently launched a 15m Euro bid for Baba Rahman (LB from Augsburg) according to Di Marzio. I think he'd be a grand addition to our loan army (more of a Courtois addition than a Marin addition). I'm not sold on the idea of him joining our first team, I feel we'd lack experienced depth if we sold Luis and replaced him with a 20 year old.

All in all, if it is true, and we land him (Augsburg want 20m Euros) He'll be a great addition to the team.

If it means we keep Remy, Don't loan Falcao and use Bertrand Traore as 3rd choice CF/6th choice AM, I'd be happy.

I'm still not sold on young English players Ever since Torres I have this fear of player skills being inversely proportional to their transfer fee after a certain threshold

Traore.. well he's proven he's capable of challenging for a spot plus he's traveling with us in pre-season. He can certainly be a part of the squad but I don't think he's ready to take the third CF spot yet.

Sterling would excel in a counter attacking system. Particularly one where Fabregas and Hazard are double marked, it would leave Sterling loads of space to run. He isn't worth 40m, though.

As for Traore, he's looked promising, versatile and scoring 17 goals in 36 games for Vitesse. That's not bad for a 19 year old.

For comparison, Bamford scored 19 goals in 43 games in the Championship.
