not only Chelsea made a profit on the sale , but they actually managed to make a team overpay for a mediocre player that isn't worth a fraction of the price .

I didnt believe the transfer fee when I first heard it and I still don't
But I think it has more to do with PSG being stupid than Chelsea doing such a good job selling him for such a ridiculous fee.

Dude is coming back from an injury. He wouldn't have played otherwise. He got destroyed vs Suarez in the first game but don't forget he was like at 50% : you can't be at less than 100% against WC players like that. About his price tag, Porto sold Contreao for 35 millions, Illara were bought for +30 millions so it puts his price tag in perspective.

Every year that passes 40m + Eto'o for prime Ibra looks more reasonable.

Selling Thiago with the knock-on effect of Kroos ending up at RM comes close imo

Mendieta was world class on Valencia and failed in Serie A because of injuries tbh.

nah...that will remain the worst, at least for me. you buy a player to eventually to call you "a spineless coward" in an exchange deal with supposedly the best striker

I still have no clue what he is doing there on Neymar's header goal. Neymar is the only player in the box, Lulz makes a movement AWAY from him even though no one else is in the box to mark. He just randomly steps aside. Wth?

I'm still astounded as well futbol, he didn't even step forward in an attempt to make him offside, it was mostly a side step with limited forward movement
The first goal as well, he made it so easy for Iniesta/Neymar. Completely stopped watching where Neymar even was.

DL4 isn't marking him, there. There was no way he'd get the ball.
Can't blame him for that.
The first goal, he stepped inwards to cover Silva which is what you'd naturally do when there is no DM to cover the CB's, Neymay runs the other way, perfect pass and a goal. DL4 should have stayed where he was there, but he tried to cover both players.
PSG were screwed by the run so all of the blame can't go to DL4.
Getting nutmegged twice in a game, however.

I'm pretty sure Silva did not play today
I'm pretty sure he cut a deal with General Nerman to let him score so he continues picking him for Brazil tbh.

If Silva didn't play, then whoever was playing RCB is who I am talking about.

I don't think anybody at PSG even watched Lulz play, they just took Thiago Silva's word for it.

Not even the worst transfer on that team, could name a couple. Zamp pulled off the biggest transfer coup when he sold Pastore to PSG. He invented an imaginary bidding war, where PSG were likely the only participant.

gotta love the Chelsea fans shilling for every single former chelsea player
it gets annoying after a certain point .
Pastore did have a great first season, scored many decisive goals , and wasn't responsible for shitload of conceded goals .
oh, and he cost less .

Neymar lost Luiz on the flight of the ball as he was marking him before hand, there is no doubt at all that it's on him.

So you're saying the other CB is not at fault, even though he was in a better position to pick Neymar up? He could have easily tracked Neymar and out jumped him.
I'm not trying to defend Luiz here, I'm just suggesting that perhaps this is just a bit of a knee jerk reaction, which is ever so common on GL.
