Manchester United Vs Arsenal
Sunday 17th May 2015
Old Trafford
This match is important for us for the reason to finish in top 3 instead of the usual 4th. But I am not really that bothered. Bit of an end of season feeling to it. We are better than them and we also won at O.T in the FA Cup so no reason why we need to play like cowards.
Swansea was a one off so let's keep that as a one off.
A draw won't be bad either though.
In terms of team news, Same team will most likely start as the last 5 games. Perhaps Wilshere for Ramsey the only exception.
Rooney is apparently out (highly doubt it. Will probably captain the side). Which means he won't be able to score his customary goal against us. But then, won't be surprised if Falcao turns into prime Drogba.

Match Facts - FourFourTwo
- Manchester United are unbeaten in seven home league meetings with Arsenal (W6 D1), since a 1-0 defeat in September 2006.
- Arsenal have lost nine of their last 11 games against Man United at Old Trafford in all competitions (W1 D1), though that win came in the FA Cup this season.
- Wayne Rooney has 11 goals against Arsenal in the Premier League. Only against Aston Villa (13) and Newcastle (12) does he have more.
- The Gunners have not beaten United in the Premier League in seven attempts, since Aaron Ramsey scored the winner at the Emirates in May 2011.
- United have not conceded more than one goal at home to Arsenal and lost in a league game since February 1979.
- Arsenal could become the fourth team in history to beat Man United twice at Old Trafford in the same season. The others were Chelsea (2004/05),
- Tottenham (1989/90) and Aston Villa (1919/20).
- Robin van Persie has scored in both of his Premier League matches against the Gunners at Old Trafford. He also scored there for Arsenal in 2011/12, meaning he's scored in this exact fixture for three consecutive seasons.
- Wayne Rooney has scored six and assisted three in his last seven games (all comps) against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
- Manchester United have gone seven PL games without a clean sheet; they last went eight without a shutout in September 2001.
- Arsenal have won their last five Premier League away games; their longest winning run since September 2013 (eight wins, their joint-best in the PL era).

Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal
I disagree. I think this match means more than just finishing 2nd/3rd. United are at their worst for years and if we still can't get over this mental block to beat them at OT, despite having a much better team, then we don't deserve to be considered one of the best teams in the world.
I know we won in FA cup, but United troubled us much more than expected and we only won through a stuff up from United's defense.
I want to see us dominate, and humiliate them the way they have had superiority over us for the past 5 years.

Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal
Not bothered by a negative outcome, but would still love to see us get one over you lot. After the FA cup defeat, the amount of Arsenal fans on my Tw/Fb timeline going on like they won the CL was annoying. For that reason alone, would love for us to win and extend that good run in the league against Arsenal.
GL Arsenal fans are cool though

Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal
Thank God we had to face some good sides this stage of the season
a few more wins against poor sides had people believing this side is good enough to go with for next season

Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal
We are just pathetic. Wenger tactics once again showing how great he is. We facing a weak United side and still cant do shit about it. We cant even pass or hold on to the ball, Cazorla and Ramsey are turning the ball over too much.

Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal
Carzola is such a pussy, great footballer but not for these type of games in CM.
Giroud did ok but if you had a true WC striker, you would have won this game.

Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal
Dreadful performance but we improved once Ramsey went to CM and Walcott came on. Surprise eh?
A point is good. Now we just need a point in one of our next two games(should get 6 tbh) and 3rd is secured. 2nd if we somehow get lucky.
Ramsey MOTM but Koscielny and Mertesacker were both great too.
Shocking performance by Sanchez.

Re: Manchester United Vs Arsenal
I really don't know what to think about Sanchez. As amazing as he has been so many games this season, he's had just as many if not more where he's been awful. Are we just not using him properly? Overplaying him? His dips in form and quality so often this year has seriously burned us
