Re: Barcelona V Juventus - Berlin Champion League Finale
What an interesting game and what a fitting way that the last kick of the game, was the goal to kill the game.
The first 15 minutes I think Juve gave too much respect and watched us a little too much. This can be a problem when the tactics are to wait for the opponant, get men behind the ball and apply pressure when its already in the midfield/attack. And we took advantage with that fast start, what a great goal that was.
But all it took was a couple of Vidal fouls and Bonnuci old school knee in the back of the striker to wake them up and it was seriously game on.
But we never struggled to create, we always was a danger to score and there was many almost moments.
I will stop the analysis there, there is alot which could be mentioned but its not the right time for that. This is a historic event and what a time it is to be a Barcelona fan today.

Basically they wanted to prevent him going out wide of the fullback and cutting into the box from there. Also wanted to prevent him dribbling from right to center along the box. They let him come to the center to pick up the ball when they had men in front of him.
Even though on the first half he was reduced to only being able to contribute through diagonal passes, I thought he was still able to exert influence on the game. The first goal, for instance, started off with his pass to Neymar. Later on the game he moved centrally and was able to see more of the game.
Actually meant Juve wanted to prevent him going out wide of the fullback and cutting into the box from there.Corrected now.
I thought he had a very good game considering Juve had set up very well to defend him.He dribbled when the opportunity presented itself, passed well and helped exert control over the match, won fouls and was decisive without scoring or assisting.Played the diagonal for the first goal, his run set up the second at a time when we were struggling and also released Neymar for the third.
An excellent performance considering Juve set up extremely well to defend him.

I actually thought he had a knock or something. He was grimacing unusually a couple of times.

Congrats Barca! Congrats everyone!
I think that first goals was key. a 4 min goal in a CL final is vital. So everyone involved in that goal is MOTM for me. But i cant find anyone who contributed any less in this game. I was worried before the game that we would be over complacent because of recent hype. but i have no doubt we have played with our heart....

@BarrileteCosmico wrote:What? he had a crap first minute, but overall a solid game, he had a game-saving interception of a Pogba to Tevez cross that would've left Carlitos one on one with MATS.
Alba is the one that deserves our wrath.
He was all over the floor against Morata twice.... first crap minute aside. Also, he really wasn't on par with Pique, he was letting him down.

Interesting stats... and I'm not really suprised with Jave having scored most times outside the box... every time Marchisio attempted a shot from distance it looked like going in
Btw Neymar scored 10 goals not 9.

Re: Barcelona V Juventus - Berlin Champion League Finale
IDK where else to post this:
This is so *bleep* stupid on so many levels lol.
Daily Mail wrote:UEFA have fined Barcelona 30,000 euros (£21,000) after fans displayed pro-Catalan independence flags at last month's Champions League final in Berlin.
UEFA announced the decision on Thursday following a meeting of its Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, saying the Spanish giants had breached regulations.
Barcelona defeated Juventus 3-1 in the showpiece final courtesy of goals from Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
The La Liga side breached article 16 of the regulations, which prohibits 'the use of gestures, words, objects or any other means to transmit any message that is not fit for a sports event, particularly messages that are of a political, ideological, religious, offensive or provocative nature'.
The football club, who clinched their fifth European Cup crown with victory in the German capital, have long been an outlet for fans who support Catalan independence from Spain to express their beliefs.
Supporters of the club were criticised by politicians from Spain's ruling People's Party (PP) after they whistled the national anthem at the King's Cup final at the end of May.
This is so *bleep* stupid on so many levels lol.

Messi's second goal and ter Stegen's double save (both against Bayern Munchen) won the best goal and the best save of the 14/15 Champions Leauge campaign awards.
