Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I am sure Wenger has reasons to just "wait" for Benzema to be available. They did say that the 2 of them had a chat over the phone right?
Either way, I am not worried... we still have weeks before the season starts.

SKY Italia reports that in the last few hours Arsenal made a bid of 22 million euros for Daniele Rugani but Juventus rejected the bid.

His price will only increase. But Juve called him back from Empoli because they want to play him. Don't suppose they'll sell him immediately.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I am sorry Arsenal fans but getting rugani is just as hopeful as Juventus getting Ozil neither moves are going to happen. Also letting Rugani play under Wenger instead of Allegri and your'e defence vs our defence will hinder his development. I have great respect for Arsenal as a club and team but he is a left footed centre back he has Chiellini to learn off as he should potentially steal his spot in the team. Not to mention the fact that he is Italian....

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Yea figured. Would be a shock if Juve let someone as talented as him leave. Specially when he can easily take any of barzagli or Bonnuci's place in the team soon enough.
It will probably be better if he stays there. However we'll have no chance to sign him in few years when he is worth over 30m

He won't be taking Bonucci's place soon that guy has exploded over the last 2 seasons he is now considered an elite centre back amongst most Juve fans. He will take Chiellini/Bazrzagli's spot as a 3rd choice centre back and should play at least 15-20 games as a sub over the next 2 seasons then move to first choice should everything go to plan

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
If you cannot Rugani try signing his U-21 teammate,Alessio Romagnoli.
Arsenal are said to be apparently interested in the 20-year old Italian CB who plays for Roma.
Also, for the nth time this season,Nacho is being linked with Bilbao. This time we're trying to sign Ghoulam Faouzi as his replacement.
Ghoulam,Abdul Rahman,Amavi,Alaba.
If any club wanted to sign a LB,I guess they needn't do any scouting at all. We've got the list of all decent LBs.
This 'Monreal to Bilbao' has all the makings of 'M'Vila is having a medical at Arsenal' rumor.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is set to join Dutch giants Ajax on loan for the 2015-16 campaign.
This is according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, who understand that the 22-year-old forward will undergo a medical with Ajax on Thursday.
Confirmation of the deal will then arrive either on the same day or by Friday at the latest. It's said that the deal doesn't include any buy-on clause.
If there's any one who can make this guy control his legs,it has to be DB10.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Arsenal are ready to send Wellington Silva out on loan to an English club after agreeing a new contract with the Brazilian, sources have told ESPN FC.
Arsenal have been in talks to tie the 22-year-old forward down to a new contract with his previous deal due to expire in 2016 and sources told ESPN FC that, now they have agreed a new long-term deal, the club feel he would be best served to go out loan next season so that he can adapt to English football.
Unless we see a Joe Hart type loan performance by Silva,I guess he has no future at Arsenal. He'll be 23 by the end of next season when his loan finishes.

About Silva:
A lot of optimism has been in the hope of finding some samba magic. However, I am not sure how many of us have really seen him play. If he was really that good, all those clubs where he was on loan would be clamouring for his signature, as well as fans who watch them leagues!
I think it is a rather smart decision to loan him domestically to see if he's got it. We obviously can't risk doing such checks in the Arsenal 1st team. We're supposed to challenge for the title and complete an FA Cup hat-trick this season ffs.

Guess I'm the only optimist waiting for his samba magic.
On a serious note,It's said a few PL & Championship clubs are willing to take him on loan this season, which I believe is cos he has something good during his last loan spell.
Also,we've to understand his last loan spell was in La Liga where anyone who's not named Messi or Ronaldo cannot attract any attention.
To add to all this,he played for relegation scrubbers Almeria but still managed to be consistent and was able to supply assists as well(according to Jeorge Bird).
No wonder, this kid hasn't attracted any attention.TBH not many Arsenal fans know such a player even exists.
I do hope he gets a PL loan with the newly promoted clubs or the relegation battlers where he can play week in week out and everyone gets to see him regularly.Even if he's not that good,he can still be sold for a good amount.
