You'll all be regretting the doubt when he benches Benzema and nets a brace to seal a dramatic 4-1 win over Bayern in the final (imo).

Anyway, Goal say we're 'waiting' on Benzema to see if he becomes available. If not, Wenger will stick with Giroud and Wele and Alexis and Feo.

Also, my sauces report we're also waiting it out on Messi to see if he becomes available. If not, we'll stick with Giroud and Wele and Alexis and Feo.

Monreal has been more than solid. That said, if we have a Cech-esque opportunity, I would not mind an upgrade at LB. Clearly, LB is not as sorted out as RB is for us right now.

Monreal has been linked with Athletic for the past two years. He probably will end up there eventually, being Basque and all, but while he's having his best spell as an Arsenal player I doubt he's going to ask to leave, nor do I see why we would let him go. It's slim pickings at left back at the moment.

Meanwhile, we have had no word on the futures of Ospina and Szczesny - except AW saying Cech will help our 'younger keepers' learn.

Wenger needs to stop waiting on Benzema... if he leaves, it's because he's not a regular. As long as he's a regular, he's going nowhere. Maybe next summer if the year goes badly. But it's not even worth talking about this summer unless Benitez tells him he's a backup.

I am sure Wenger has reasons to just "wait" for Benzema to be available. They did say that the 2 of them had a chat over the phone right?

Either way, I am not worried... we still have weeks before the season starts.
