And although Jordan looks like a total tool for backing out of a verbal agreement, this moratorium period is to blame. It would make much more sense to set the cap at July 1st to allow free agency to begin, or even move the FA period to July 9th to avoid anything like this. I remember this happened before when Turkoglu backed out of a deal with Portland to sign for us and I'm surprised they didn't change anything then.

I'm just sitting here waiting for a pissed off Cuban statement cause this has essentially ballsed up Mavs offseason plans big time. I really hope they can trade Dirk to a contending team cause he deserves much better than this.
