Mandzukic and Zaza, retained Pogba (as of now!), and should add 1-2 more players, a creative midfielder, possibly a winger and/or a fullback.

Sturaro will probably be used a lot more as well now. After his more than decent showing last year. Pereyra is quite good too.

Juventus are still the favourites. Specially since the rivals are not exactly signing the Suarezs of this world.

Are you guys comparing Di maria , a top player with Divock Origi ? As good as he was at the WC , it's only 2-3 games. Lukaku at 20 was more impressive. Origi is a young talented player but just like any other .

Origi will be seen as a better player than Di Maria come the end of their careers. Di Maria's only claim to fame is failing to finish a chance which only resulted in Bale cleaning up his mess. Carlo found a little niche role for him like he did Malouda but he was quickly back to his inconsistent best once he was expected to be the main man. Inb4 BUT BUT HE'S A CM THO

@Benin, if Vidal is not properly replaced then we are in trouble. Yes, we sold Baggio in 95 after Scudetto, some guys after the CL, Vialli in 97 or 98 after some Scudettos, Zidane, Thuram, etc. BUT, we have alwaya replaced it with quality players. I am not seeing a direct replacement, not even a quality one ATM

Usually I'm kinda humble about this, but we are still clear favorites for league title. Can't see anyone challenging us this year.

I'm not so sure about CL, too many new and inexperienced faces to compete with the top next year. On the long term though..

Khedira drove Germany and Madrid to CL and WC, he's not a replacement, he's an improvement. He can fully express his abilities to their extent at Juve, in attack and defense.

I don't think we should be looking at this situation in terms of 'replacements' for a particular player. Khedira's will arguably assume the void left not by Vidal but by Pirlo. They're obviously very different players who bring different skill sets but they will occupy similar areas of the pitch. One would imagine Khedira being used to the side of Marchisio, who will assume the central role left by Pirlo, or in front of the defence himself. Vidal, whilst spending time in CM last season, was crucially deployed at the top of the diamond as well. Obviously he brought a very different skill set to the position than a traditional playmaker and he retained heavy defensive responsibilities however any 'replacement' one might expect Juventus to chase will surely be a midfielder who can act as a link to the forward line. Between Marchisio, Pogba, Khedira, Sturaro, Pereyra and Asamoah, Juventus have no need for replacing Vidal's presence in the middle three.

It's probably only a matter of time before a big club signs him, but I hope he stays at Everton a bit longer. He's only played around 40 times in the PL.

It makes a lot of sense for Chelsea to target him, since they need more homegrown players and Terry isn't getting any younger.

Why are people so obsessed with Origi? He's just turned 20 years old, he cost 10m and he's not even a first team starter. He's a project, like many of the players we've bought. If he turns out, great, if not well he didn't cost that much anyway and we bought a bunch of players like that.

I still like his combination of skills and athleticism, but we'll see if he can put them together with a better team than Lille (again, he's always looked good in the international matches I've seen of him and was great in Liverpool's first pre-season game against drab competition).

I think it says more about how poor di Maria was last season than how good Origi is though that they're even being compared.
