Alfredo Pedulla reporting that Juve are looking to hi-jack our deal with Abdul Baba Rahman.

Di Marzio reports that we're waiting for Chelsea and Fiorentina to resolve their debacle with Salah, who would then be free to join us with Destro possibly going the other way.

Di Marzio also reports that we've improved our offer for Dzeko to 20m (15m + bonuses). Unless Dzeko himself pushes for the move though, City will probably hold firm at the ridiculous 35m price tag they set up. Mitrovic is no longer an alternative as he's likely heading to Newcastle, but there are reports that Chelsea are now involved for him too.

Carroll is a scub why is he being compared to a proven player like Benteke ?

Carroll post injury ? what did he lose? Pace? Laughing

agility?

He never had those , Liverpool made a mistake of overpaying a scrub who only played 19 games in PL..that is no way comparable to a Benteke who has had 42 goals and 88 appearances in top class football.

I was replaying to all those who were saying Carroll at Newcastle as a reference...since when is 19 games a good enough sample.

I'm not just talking about those 19 games though, your ability to control a football doesn't change because you are playing against higher competition.

Anyway point was that Liverpool don't have success with target men and Benteke's ability in closed space is no better than any of the previous ones they have tried.

That was point, had nothing to do with Carroll although it was made about that eventually for some reason.
