Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
fking hell I made some Bad decisions before the start of the season..
Im soo fked for week 2... my Defender are vsing Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool
Might have to sell Walcott for Yaya/Silva. and Hazard for Sanchez

Meanwhile, Sterling
Sterling at 9m seemed totally overpriced to me, especially with Toure also available at 8.5m
I tuned off after a point.. Thought the commys said Silva told the 4th official at HT that he did indeed get a touch for the first Yaya shot.. Assumed it would go to him, more so since I didn't have him in my team.. :/

Sterling and Hazard were both bought in hope. My hope was then crushed.

I thought so too. Then again, a good start is so important in the way FPL is structured with transfers. So what matters more is the period of unlimited transfers.
I am stingy with such options. I know my wildcards will still be available for the last 3 games of the season

Yeah I had to think long and deep about fixtures of the players I picked.. Despite that, I took a gamble of Chelsea starting much more strongly. Arsenal, of course, let me down.
Now I have too much riding on a Chelsea away win & CS next weekend

Also need to figure out what I do with my transfer
It is a bit pointless hanging on to both Theo and Ox from Arsenal, when there are so many equally shitty players in our team

I wouldn't mind if Hazard had a few bad games now and people ditched him so his price goes down, I'm thinking I should probably take him.
Gutted that Silva didn't get the goal, btw. I thought fantasy footy always gave these things based on the last touch?

I'm really in two minds about Walcott. There are so many good and interesting options in midfield... but on the other hand Walcott has pretty much always delivered when he's just been fit and I think Wenger will give him some starts, too. Would hate to ditch him now - like I imagine a lot of people will when they saw he didn't start - if he starts delivering again soon enough.

That's exactly the gamble, innit!
Problem is, only 1 free transfer. So there are arguably 9 other positions which can be tinkered with without losing points, if your GKs are not Courtois & a dead sub

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
Personally, I picked Ox and Theo since I think both have reasons to prove themselves this season and will have a huge role to play.
Then again, Ox is on better form and Theo might have to settle for the bench against Crystal Pardew away.

Any chance of having the 'team name - username' list? I don't know who the hell I just beat.
Give us a few days to a week to finalize and organize it then I'll post a list in the OP. We had to wait for the season to start to ensure we didn't miss any last minute entries.

Could take Wijnaldum and Shaqiri at 7m each and still afford Aguero

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
There are like a million interesting midfielders in the 6-8m range. Henderson, Ayew, Payet, Shaqiri, Coutinho, Wijnaldum, Mane, Sigurdsson, Chadli, Bolasie, Barkley... I'd like to take even four out of that lot and spend the money on strikers, but the problem is there are fewer strikers to choose from than midfielders.

Choose shit strikers and invest 50m in midfield?

I think last season I at least started with the idea of having an expensive midfield and affordable strikers - and we all know what happened in the GL classic league last season

Even the Premier league has now given City's first goal to Silva (instead of Yaya), bs that it wasn't given to him in fantasy

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
Too late for them to correct it?
I reported here that same evening that Silva claimed the touch
Considering many more had Silva than Yaya, it is actually a good thing for those who hadSterling neither
