Yeah Butler, I think Rose, Mirotic and Gasol are all going to take shots away from him that they didnt last year. I dont expect Pau to have the same season as last year either despite me taking him...but I passed him up last year for someone useless (cant remember who) and I cant afford to do that again, it bugged me the whole year that I didnt take him.

As for my team generally, I feel the same as normal. I guess I have a chance but I have no real idea. My general feelings are as always, I felt like I made the best choices I could when they came to me.

I try to mix in some NBA analysis while ignoring my personal feelings as much as possible and whatever comes out, comes out.

Not a big fan of Parsons, but at the time I took him there was nothing better and I have some hope with Dirk being older, Monta leaving and this being his 2nd season he will do better than last year.

I didnt take into consideration the keeper thing. But I ended up with Payton, Giannis and Beal anyway so I am sure they have a shot of being holdovers for next season. The only slight consideration I had in this was totally ignoring it with the best players. I can take Marc Gasol and Carmelo at 30+ years old because next season I can draft a superstar again no problem. Its those middle picks which will help you, and perhaps you drafted a superstar for the next years with a lower pick.

I feel like my rosters more balanced than last year, but I'm relying on Paul George to come back and stay healthy. And taking D-Rose was real hit or miss.

I cant imagine George not averaging 23-25 points on that Pacers team.

Just has to keep the % high.

I didnt even consider him an injury concern either. Broken leg isnt the kind of injury you think will linger, the bone heals back (stronger even) and he doesnt lose athletic ability.

I badly wanted Beal going into the draft as i think he's going to have a big year, didn't expect he to be taken as early as you did though.

Considering the keeper thing I'm glad I went with Irving and didn't let the injury concern me. I'm a little mad I have to play my boy Dmize right out of the gate.

I cant remember what choices where there tbh. It seemed like an obvious one though with Peirce gone + those play off performances. Hopefully he stays away from injury.


As I look through now, after him it was Ibaka, Noel, Monroe and Thomas.

Already had Gasol, Gasol and Big Al at that point.

It basically was me going back and forth between him and Thomas.

That's true, I'm more worried about the mental aspect of trusting the leg I haven't seen any of his pre season just that he's shot the ball well but been a bit hesitant to drive.

You see that dunk against Chicago Dmize? athletically he looks as good as ever tbh.

Well I understand dmize concerns despite that dunk that I at least did see. George to me has always not attacked the rim enough generally and settles a bit too much, I think thats why he doesnt shoot 45%+

But I have seen he has worked on his triple threat moves, he is alot more creative and has more moves.

He's also got PF eligibility now since I guess that's where he's gonna play the most. They better not take away SG eligibility though

I think that's more due to his handle tbh, i remember complaining about that when they were up against Miami in the ECF.

He settles far too much and doesn't drive to the basket anywhere near as much as he should. I just came to the conclusion eventually that he doesn't have the handle to get by someone consistently.

Yeah, that could be it too tbh. Hard to be aggressive when you cant change direction quick enough to penetrate. His dribble was a touch too high id say.

Yep, dribble too high and he's always upright.
