Defenders really have to be shite since not a single one has been nominated and no, I do not consider Mascherano a defender. His bumbling ass is a midfielder.

Other than that, standard FIFA Balon D'or list which I fully expect the top 3 to be Messi, Ronaldo and someone else. Maybe Neuer, apparently the only goal keeper that is good enough to be nominated in the world.

At least you have Neuer, the only goal keeper worthy of being nominated. Apparently, no other goal keeper did anything of any note except him.

Anyone who likes defenders have to basically imagine one there.

Yeah. We still made the final and dominated the first 5 games. The final was decided on penalties which is not necessarily to Masche's detriment.

Messi is going to win it and should win it because Ronaldo did nothing of note for Madrid except score boat load of goals in La Liga.

BTW for KDB and Vidal both would be nominated for there German and Italian club's as they have only spent a small amount of time with there new teams.

It's crazy that out of the 23 players listed i think like 3 play in the country of there origin. I don't know if that means anything or not but looking at Spain with 11 players nominated you would think they would have more than 1 player who is actually Spanish.

I don't think the breakdown by league shows anything other than that Spain has 2 super teams that can afford to bring in WC talent for their bench and often do

FIFA clearly deceive people. Voting started in august according to Lewandowski. and they vote only once not twice or trice. But FIFA says they vote three times (first for 23 man, then for 3 finalists, then for actual winner) which is lame, nobody has time for it. So there will be no more voting and FIFA already knows who is the winner

Poland skipper , Lewandowski is given a vote in the annual contest, and selected Ronaldo as his first choice, followed by Neuer and then fellow Bayern team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger.

"It was a mistake on my part to have chosen Ronaldo," he admitted to www/kicker/de.

"I would clearly choose Neuer today if I had the chance but I voted sometime in August . Today I would choose differently. I'm very sorry for Manu."
