The Official Balon d'Or 2015 Thread
This is the final 23 footballers list for the male Golden Ball:
Alemania: Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Thomas Müller (Bayern) y Manuel Neuer (Bayern).
Argentina: Kun Agüero (Manchester City), Javier Mascherano (Barça) Lionel Messi (Barça).
Bélgica: Kevin de Bruyne (Wolfsburg-Man City) y Eden Hazard (Chelsea).
Brasil: Neymar (Barça)
Chile: Alexis Sánchez (Arsenal) y Arturo Vidal (Juventus-Bayern).
Colombia: James Rodríguez (Real Madrid).
Costa de Marfil: Touré Yaya (Man City).
Croacia: Iván Rakitic (Barça).
España: Andrés Iniesta (Barça).
Francia: Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) y Paul Pogba (Juventus).
Gales: Gareth Bale (Real Madrid).
Holanda: Arjen Robben (Bayern).
Polonia: Robert Lewandowski (Bayern).
Portugal: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid).
Suecia: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG).
Uruguay: Luis Suárez (Barça).
Toni Kroos and Mascherano being there is utter rubish. How on earth Piqué and Busquets are not better than them?
Toure's year has been also quite modest, while Robben has been permainjured as always.

Masche must be there because of his NT performances.
Also Vidal is Brazilian according to that list
Not a single Italian or English man

He carried Argentina's midfield single handedly to the WC final... i personally thought Masch was Argentina's best player in the WC. Was an incredible DM.

I see Iniesta again had his resident spot in the shortlist, nevermind how he performed.free_cat wrote:This is the final 23 footballers list for the male Golden Ball:

Re: The Official Balon d'Or 2015 Thread
Let's see the breakdown by leagues.
Spain-11 players nominated
Germany-5 players nominated
England-4 players nominated
Italy-2 players nominated
France-1 player nominated
BTW for KDB and Vidal both would be nominated for there German and Italian club's as they have only spent a small amount of time with there new teams.
It's crazy that out of the 23 players listed i think like 3 play in the country of there origin. I don't know if that means anything or not but looking at Spain with 11 players nominated you would think they would have more than 1 player who is actually Spanish.

Yeah, so he seems to be in that list by default... Looking further than top 3 is not advised

Re: The Official Balon d'Or 2015 Thread
Defenders really have to be shite since not a single one has been nominated and no, I do not consider Mascherano a defender. His bumbling ass is a midfielder.
Other than that, standard FIFA Balon D'or list which I fully expect the top 3 to be Messi, Ronaldo and someone else. Maybe Neuer, apparently the only goal keeper that is good enough to be nominated in the world.
