Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
I think they can keep it up, simply because this is not Poch's first season and they have been playing this way since December of last year. When it comes to mantaining a high work rate the pre-season is extremely important and they have had an entire pre-season with this manager and style.

Still inconsistent but he is showing a lot more of his potential than he did before.
Another good thing Pochettino did was to stop those random purchases Tottenham have been making for years. He got rid of the scrubs and stuck with 1 defence and 1 midfield instead of changing it every 2 weeks.
With a proper balance and set up, tottenham are looking quite solid and will challenge Liverpool and Chelsea for 4th.

Yea somehow all the legit strikers have been either injured or underperforming.
can't take anything of Vardy though. 9 goals in a row is fantastic, specially if they also came against big teams.

I've seen Southampton just 2-3 times this season, but has Van Dijk really been this good? Koscielny, Skrtel or Kompany in his place, imo.
De Gea has had a solid defense in front of him, I think both Myhill and Butland have been more impressive when you consider the teams they play for.
Fernandinho has actually been great, deserves to be there.
Lukaku has been better than Pelle.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
Hypothetical:
Let us say, just for argument's sake, not in anyway getting ahead of ourselves, let's just say we win the league and German Ozil is instrumental to that cause and ends the season with numbers of 7 goals and 20 assists. And Leicester secures themselves a Europa League spot with Englishman Vardy continuing his form more or less throughout the season, ending the season as top goal scorer with numbers of 30 goals and 7 assists.
a)Who would you personally choose as player of the season?
b)Who in your opinion would the BPL jury pick as the official player of the season?

I mean if you just watch the games you can pretty confidently say Ozil.
He's been the best this season and it's an easy pick right now. Unplayable right now and everything good that Arsenal are doing is going through him.

Yeah but I don't think you guys are seeing where I am coming from.
Considering how Hazard won it last season, I also think Ozil should actually win it in this scenario.
However, I know I asked with "a)" who you would pick, but the post is more for the question of whether you think Vardy would stand a chance of winning the actual honour at the end of the day with those numbers and him being an Englishmen.

City are top of the table and only got 1 player there, seems legit.

Has anyone on their team actually played well enough to get in ahead of those other players, though?

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
If none of their players played well then why are they top of the league?
Why is Pelle even on there? He has like 5 goals and doesn't do much else. Aguero scored 5 in one game.

Calling it hypothetically is a weak attempt at best to mitigate a GL Jinx.

So just because of that he should in your opinion should be in the team. In truth, it just says the opposite, Pelle has been more consistent over the season. Sure we all know Aguero is a better player than Pelle overall, and that 5 goals in one game says it all, but this is Best XI of the season so far.
Although, I'm with Art, I think Lukaku has performed better than Pelle this year.

I would take Lukaku over Pelle also. Otherwise I think it looks fine.
