Its a shame the story became an abomination towards the end tbh, it had a legit going.

They made Kogarasumaru vs Old Sleeping Forest OVA though, which is good

^^My girlfriend got me the season 1 dvd set for Christmas and I have got to episode 5 so far. The first two episodes were kind of uncomfortable due to the parallels of the bombings of Hitachi, but episode 3 and 4 were pretty legit.

I think 25 episodes are in the set. I probably won't go further than that. Most anime that last over 26 episodes(2-ish seasons on the normal broadcast schedule) usually turn into filler mess.

Finished episode 5. Cant see how they drag this out for 20 more episodes when the main cast has been owned.Also I think I am seeing why my girlfriend likes this

Xcution scrubs look so bad in comparison to Aizen and the arrancars.

You simply don't go from Aizen vs Ichigo to that....

Now onto manga

Overall thoughts on Bleach Anime

I thought the soul society arc was peak bleach. Eventhough there were better fights in the hueco mundo arc, the story for soul society was great and perfectly paced. Ichigo's character development was fantastic and the support characters were great too.

Hueco Mundo had awful pacing. Some of the characters introduced were great though and it was nice seeing Ichigo's powers develop.

Aizen was built really well I though. But the problem was that they built him so OP that the author didn't know what to do towards the end. The final fight between Ichigo and Aizen was disappointing. Aizen went beyond everything and we didn't even see him hurt Ichigo. It ended quite fast for over 250 chapters of build up.

Xcution arc was awful.

In the end Bleach is nowhere near as good as OP, and its not better than peak FairyTail either imo. But it had its moments. Particularly some of the fights and some of the soundtracks were fantastic.

Well worth watching it though. Heard they might make OVA for the last arc.

I always thought that Ichigo beating Aizen and losing his powers in the process was a natural spot to end the story. I mean, you can't just kill off your big bad since the start of the manga and then reveal there are more big bads out there, as if Aizen was some sort of mid-boss.

You should read the current arc that's going on now, RG. It's a convoluted mess.

Yea i read the similar opinions on the internet. The ENTIRETY of bleach anime was focused around Ichigo and Aizen. It would have made a lot of sense for the story to end right after he was defeated and Ichigo went back to live his normal high school life.

Imagine thinking there could be anyone else as strong as Aizen or the arrancars.

Heard that the 1000 years bloody war arc is even longer than the hueco mundo arc. Can't wait

Also, Inoue is an awful character. Her best friend was a better character and she didn't even appear that much.
