Spurs gased out, copiously dominated in second half

Great end to the game. Kane has a horrible first touch and what has happened to Eriksen he is just ordinary these days

SON you are waste of space .
Spurs has no depth, it will be their downfall. They don't have the squad to play twice a week. It will be even worse once Europa league start.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V8
Dominated? Even second half if anything, the only thing Everton dominated there at the end is the Deulofeu vs Davies battle.
Spurs dominated most of the game, deserved to win really but will take a point at Goodison.
Dark knight Sprucenuce fighting against the hype machine pls tell us more about how every team bar Barca and Bayern were after the young GOAT talents Tom Carroll and Eric Dier. I'll give you Alli but let's not pretend other teams chasing CL qualification are giving the kid a starting spot this soon.

There is no display of individual talent, or at least not much unless they have a bit more attacking players.
Organization+Athleticism
Are they though? wouldn't particularly call Lamela, Carroll, Eriksen, Kane etc etc freakishly athletic tbh.
It's more stamina brought up by great preparation in training than athleticism with the organisation tbh. It's like a poor mans Dortmund under Klopp and i wouldn't have called them freakish athletes either.
Well agree. Tottenham players have talked about this. He made them fighters and improved their stamina. They hate it in training but it works in matches.
About the post. I'm not talking about improving talents, players will improve regardless of the manager provided they are given chance to play. It is something pochettino gives. He don't consider age as a parameter when selecting players.

You can't be serious
It's a football club, the only thing that should matter is on the pitch entertainment and results.
It's clear he's another one of these assholes that couldn't care less what Villa do as long as they stay in the league and collect the tv money with no ambition to actually compete for anything.
He's a poison and so is everyone like him, getting to the point now where most of the league are just happy with 17th and making the numbers up in the gravy train of the Premier League.
Nobody has the ambition to win trophies or at least try to anymore due to all the money that's in it.
Why should the chief executive of a football club have loads of passion? His job is all about the money. Passion doesn't make him any better at his job. And it's not his fault if a Tim Sherwood pisses the cash that's been made available to him in the wind. It's not the CEO's job to be ambitious about what happens on the pitch, it's his job to be ambitious about the commercial deals the club gets.
A lot of the players don't care what happens to their club as long as they get paid. Asking the chief executive to be passionate about the club is like asking the tea lady to brew that shit with passion.

Yeah, an entertaining game and yeah, Eriksen has been off the pace this season.

I don't think anyone needs a right to talk about it, but it's a baffling thing to say. As if a club's playing style had any effect on their sponsorship deals.

Shouldn't it though? I mean ManU obviously have a ridiculously large fanbase regardless, but you would think the more entertaining the team the more people would watch it/follow it and the more advertising potential they would have, etc.
Ultimately results matter, but style should matter too.

Well, I can guarantee that in no commercial negotiations ever between a football club and a potential sponsor has the team's playing style been discussed.
Can you imagine Adidas' representatives coming to a meeting with Man United's people and asking for a certain playing style? They'd be laughed out of the room.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V8
Probably not.
But playing style falls under the image of the club. Especially more so important if it is a huge club such as United hence if there's an global outcry on the team's playing style, it will have a negative effect one way or the other for sponsors.
It's called business after all.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V8
Indeed. I'm not saying the sponsors can make demands of the team, but more or less that sponsors will be encouraged more to sponsor your team if you play a more attractive brand of football. Positive attention beating negative attention and all that. Of course, for most sponsors as long as the team has a lot of attention it won't matter, but the style and attractiveness of the football can still have an influence on the types of sponsors they will attract and the amount of money they're willing to offer.

This gave me a good laugh. Then I realised every one of these things would actually happen and became a bit depressed.
