I honestly don't know why you would use Atlético as an example when everybody knows for a fact that they hate Real Madrid with every fiber of their being, and would rather die than hand out 3 points to their neighbor. If they lost a lot pre-Simeone, it's because they were simply inferior to Real Madrid, not because they were rolling over. When they got good under the Argentinean, they started winning more often. If they were really gifting Madrid points, the pattern would continue even under Simeone.

I also don't know why you'd think that somehow Real Madrid is benefiting from this alleged handout more often than Barça, even though you have absolutely no proof to back up your claim. You're solely following your hunch here. But like I said before, you should never let your emotions cloud your judgement.

Real Madrid have only won one league title in 8 years, that's hardly a cogent number for a team with so many handouts. And last season, we were one point shy from the top. If we had really had an army of teams ready to give us points on cue, we would've won the league last year.

To me, It would be easier to accuse Barça of corruption and discredit all the league titles they've won from 2009 until now just so I can sleep better at night. But I'd rather stand up and clap for them, and acknowledge the fact that they've won them fair and square without hiding behind excuses and claims I can't prove.

yes, espanyol really gave you a tough game last time you met (you won that tough drag out edge of the sit closely fought battle 5 nil iirc). ofcourse you don't have any proof, and no its not at all difficult to deny. one league title in 7/8 years says otherwise

Sounds to me like the "reputation" you're speaking of is solely based on your own perspective and emotions as a Barça fan, and if I were to pick a random emotional Real Madrid fan and ask them the same thing, chances are they would say the same thing about you.

Espanyol giving you a hard time has nothing to do with Real Madrid. They're your crosstown rival, so naturally, they play with more grit against you than against any other team in the league. Atlético and even Rayo, do the same thing against Real Madrid, but as opposed to you, we don't accuse you of anything.

Come on man, you're scoring truckload of goals and winning the league almost every single year. So unless you want to come across as a crazy, paranoid conspiracy theorist, you should refrain from believing things without substantial proof.

I just meant all teams should play all teams with the same mindset. I can understand it happens where this does not happen sometimes due to circumstances if one team is rival with another and the results may affect them, etc. This has happened b4 and I guess its nature and a club can choose to or not. We all know this happens, and looking at Espanyols record and the they play vs Real sometimes u cant help but feel they go their with a mindset of just losing.

If u dont agree, fine. And I dont absolutely believe in it, but It does feel true so often. I guess I'll observe more this season to decide

So there's an actual discussion about some sort of conspiracy based on teams that are arguably the best in the world beating teams that aren't.

This Sevilla performace has been garbage. Turnover after turnover, no link-up play from the players out there, and getting out fought by 10 men.

Really don't like Mercado. Doesn't look quick, or good on the ball, or a particular good defender. Not making good supporting runs either.

Sevilla, as someone who is not so much a fan but just an admirer can be very frustrating to watch. Just ridiculously inconsistent which is not to say Eibar was bad, they weren't. Solid performance from them and a well earned draw.

Valencia lose again. Have lost their last 7 league games.

Atheltic with a much needed win. Will get another win next week when they get their customary win over Sevilla at San Mames.
