I was talking about his passing from the back. That's what we are discussing right with Stegen's mistake and all?Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:halamadrid2 wrote:Tbh Bravo looked like a disaster himself today
Eh? he was really good today lol. If it wasn't for him it would have been a rugby score.
Stones and Bravo were the only City players to come out with any credit really.

Oh fair enough, although in fairness to him he was put in a position where even Neuer would struggle to find the man with an accurate pass.

Z must be feeling like a complete idiot now, blowing chance after chance to extend the lead at the top.

Atleti are the best La Liga team... although nobody wants to admit it. I think they take it this year.

On the plus side at least you have a lead in comparison to Barca anyway.

a goalies job is to keep, not compete with midfielders for number of passes

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
This is to all the Real followers, I havent been able to watch all their games lately, but their draws are partly due to the absence of Modric and Casemiro? There are talks on Zidane's flaws showing, so im not sure.
Btw, also want to say Modric has been so important to Real, ever since he came he got Real 2 CLs, and he has been immensely important to them. I remember the midfield of Alonso/Khedira used to be no match for us, definitely not the case nowadays, Modric has been such a good buy for Real... not to mention Kroos too later on...

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
Modric, Casemiro, Marcelo, James, etc. injuries... and Benz also playing hurt and now hurt again... Ronaldo being in very poor form (1 goal in La Liga in 20 shots in 4 games since his return). Isco being in poor form.
We were winning early on because were had a very quick and dynamic front 3 in Bale/Vasquez/Morata. Vasquez and Morata contributed a lot defensively aside from bringing a dynamic element to the attack. Bale was the focal point. With Benz and Ronaldo returning... we lost speed and defense while actually losing in attacking prowess due to their lack of form. Bale has also been pushed into a support role with Ronaldo taking on the focal point.
The combo of our injury woes and the above-mentioned are the cause of our recent woes. Nothing else.
The solution? You hope that Benzema will be either kept out until he gets healthy or finds form. Ronaldo needs to find form or Zidane must find a way to push Bale into more focus. In terms of replacing Modric and Casemiro... no luck.
Zidane basically has a new team dynamic than the one he started the season with and needs to figure out what works. It's not going to be easy... a lot of prima donas. Some guys are also irreplaceable due to our roster like Modric and Casemiro.
Won't be easy.

I'm one of those who believe our poor form has nothing to do with injuries. Why? Because even when everybody was fit, we still played bad, and most of us knew it was just a matter of time before we started dropping points.
When your team is literally clueless in the final third and is incapable of creating chances down the middle, and the only strategy they have to get into the opposition's box is crossing, you have a problem.
The injury excuse should only be valid when you had been playing very well prior to falling to injuries. But in Madrid's case, even back when everybody was still fit, we won unconvincingly, with luck playing a huge part in us winning.
If you looked at our performances pre and post-injuries, you'd come to the conclusion that they aren't really that different. We looked slightly more protected and controlling with Case and Modric on the field, but our problems, especially going forward, are the same now as they were before the injuries.
So really, the reason behind our poor form is not so much about injuries as it is about a deeply flawed system where, regardless of who plays, the problems remain the same.
Z's Madrid is devoid of creative penetration, overdosing on crosses and can't seem to move beyond reliance on individuals. Problems like these are purely tactical and won't go away unless the coach does something about it. Until then, no matter who plays, the performance will remain relatively the same.

That 4-3 defeat of Barca to Celta Vigo was very disappointing.

Interesting, two completely different views already regarding Real This is really turning out to be a three horse race and even Atletico favourites if things continue the way they are... another intriguing season ahead. I almost feel I'd rather Real win it than to see Atletico beat us to the title again tbh

Yeah.... massive injuries and star players returning completely off form doesn't impact anything. The results obviously show that it's irrelevant.

You are right there are two different views from Madridistas! The first is from a French agenda poster who claims inside knowledge, repeatedly comes up with conspiracy theories that he presents as factual (even Donald Trump could take lessons from him!), and defends, comes up with countless excuses, and even deflects blame to non french players for the obvious problems with both his countrymen; Benzema and Zidane.
The other viewpoint is what the majority of us are thinking.
Bear in mind that we are just holding our head above water in this stage of season that should be the easiest part of the schedule. Unless, we get our act together soon, the liga race will be just a two horse race.

Re: La Liga Discussion 2016/17
Yeah... massive injuries is clearly a French-driven excuse. So is repeatedly asking that Benzema get benched if he's not fit. Criticizing Ronaldo and wanting Bale as the focal point has France written all over it.
Good lord Bill. Logic really doesn't come with age for some does it
