Lesnar vs. Orton was announced for a 9/24 house show at the All-State Arena in Chicago as a rematch from SummerSlam. It’s really weird because that’s the night before the Clash of the Champions PPV in Indianapolis. At this point it is not a network special. It’s possible it could be, but it kind of doesn’t make sense to do a house show special the night before a PPV show, and during a month when it would be the third special of the month you’d be trying to promote. What’s also weird is that even though they’ll be in the night before, neither Lesnar nor Orton are scheduled for Indianapolis. We were told that WWE asked Lesnar to do the Chicago house show and he agreed. [b]The decision to do Chicago instead of Indianapolis is because his contract calls for different compensation for house shows (which are usually squash matches going two to five minutes) than PPVs (which are longer main event quality matches). Lesnar chose the opponent based on who he felt was the person on the roster available that night that he felt would mean the most at the box office.

He also mentioned that a lot of people in wrestling can't believe that Vince let Orton take those headshots. Basically, they're now indebted to Orton, because if Orton's family were to sue them, it'd make them look really bad in court.

During an appearance on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson talked about how Vince McMahon wasn't aware that Gallows was previously the Festus character in WWE back in 2007-2008. Here is what Anderson said:

"The best part of the Festus character is that we heard from Talent Relations, or the Head of Talent Relations is that Vince doesn’t even remember that he was Festus."

Anderson also said this to Gallows about what Mark Carano told Gallows:

"We go up to the Gorilla Position, and Mark Carano would say, I’m going to go tell Vince and remind him that you were Festus. I would say, don’t tell Vince, I need this run right now."

Gallows added the following:

"I don’t know if we’re even allowed to say the word, but my wife didn’t even know that I was Festus when I married her, which is real."

Bryan says the Talking Smack segment with The Miz was not completely scripted and his anger was real, talks about how they’ll coexist going forward:

“I just knew that Miz was going to come up and we were going to banter back and forth. But Miz and I have known each other for a long time, and we really know how to get at each other’s nerves. I brought up the idea that he wrestled like a coward. He knows I don’t like the way he wrestles. I just don’t like it. It’s not my thing. And I called him out on that.”

“He knows that’s really pushing on a nerve. And calling me a coward for not doing it — which I kind of sometimes think of myself as a coward for not doing it — you know, it’s tough. Part of me wanted to punch him in the face, but I figured that probably wasn’t such a smart idea on live TV.”

Why does the Miz wrestle like a coward?

I do like the brand split and creative are now creating new feuds. Ambrose vs Styles, Owens vs Rollins are both intriguing in their own ways. A year ago we would have had Ambrose vs Owens part 45, Ziggler vs Corbin part 322, Sheamus vs Cesaro part 77.

Yep, AJ isn't really that good on the mic, i've said this before, most of his lines feel forced, like he's not really saying what he means

Not watched any SD from last 3 weeks apart from the endings ( seriously wtf is up with AJ and Ambrose staring each other down one week, AJ on the ropes one week and Ambrose being low blowed this week lmao )

But AJ has been anything but bland between his heel turn and when i went away, his character and mic work before that was meh at best though. His mic work in the Cena feud was great, not seen the Ambrose feud stuff to really comment though tbh.

Ambrose promo was great, nothing wrong with AJ's promo though in the slightest. Ambrose's promo was just awesome probably his best ever one IMO. ( in WWE in any case)

The Never Give arm band will never not make me laugh hope he wears it every week. Both his general promo about John Cena fans can now be AJ fans and his laughing at Ziggler was funny.

Although i still say what i said before the ending to each Smackdown is weird.

You basically got a staredown, AJ stuck on the ropes( Ambrose laughing as he walks way ) and AJ low balling Ambrose as he berates him.

An ending should leave an impact for the following week, just very strange IMO. Although i do think Crews and Corbin looked good with AJ and Ambrose which is good.

Is there anything else with regards to build that i should watch btw

Nah. He hasn't shown up on TV since AJ beat him at SS. However, he's been working dark matches on SD since SS.

He's booked for the shows after Backlash. It wouldn't surprise me if he interferes in the AJ-Ambrose match.
