Here is the article on the Cesc rumor.

If Cesc plays for Real Madrid he deserves any hate he has thrown at him. Playing for Arsenal, and then there rivals in Chelsea. Then Barcelona (and he's a Barca cantero, and from the city of Barcelona, so he's a born cule) and also there biggest rivals? Dudes wild for this one....IF the rumor's true.

I mean I actually think he is a crap signing because he fades away mid season. So it might actually help Barca if they get rid of Hames for Cesc, but out of general principle I can't believe he would even consider this move. What a S-bag

Last player I remember playing for direct rivals in multiple leagues would be R9, but he wasn't born in Barcelona and from the academy like Cesc is.

No one is signing James Rodriguez, just like no one signed Morata for those absurd numbers these spanish papers quoted for him.

Morata was going to go somewhere if Madrid could target another proper backup CF.  Well, there aren't any.  They may have gotten 60 mil or so for Morata but would have had to pay 60 mil for someone else...  easiest path was just to keep him ESPECIALLY since he's a Spanish international, a cantera and has PR appeal.

As far as James...  the Cesc rumor started because James is on his way out.  The UK tabloids assume we'll need to replace James and just threw Cesc's name out there.  They didn't consider we have Isco, Kavacic and Asensio already. In fact, we're loaning out Odegaard because we have surplus in the AM position.

We're apparently not meeting Mustafi's valuation to save money for a striker - total BS fed to the journos imho, but at least a hint that we are looking for a striker.

Barca was looking for back up striker options all summer, and honestly all of those guys we were looked at were either solid or potentially goood enough, and yet none of those guys were linked to Arsenal. So no, and it drives me nuts.

I loved it when we got Cesc, and then couldn't wait till he left. And his numbers have been dwindling more and more as he gets older. Honestly would stick with Hames over Cesc if I were you guys (this is an honest opinion)

We went for Vardy, and then had a bid for Lacazette. Then things have been just too quiet - almost as if it has been swept under the carpet. It doesn't look like we had any alternatives lined up.

And the saving money part is media BS on many levels. Wenger's pennypinching is only a layer to that.

Cesc got a nice final ball and vision thay James don't though. James is just more lethal infront of goal. Prefer Agent Cesc

He's just stuck in a rut in Madrid like most players, could say the same about Isco but he's probably made more of the opportunities given to him.

It's starting to become clearer that Allegri really wants to play a 4-3-1-2 after failing to sign a trequartista last summer and we panicked into a last second Hernanes signing (ffs)

But from the squad standpoint I still don't get it, we go out and sign Benatia, which leaves us with 5 great central defenders: Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli, Benatia and Rugani only to, possibly, change formation to a 4 man back line now, someone help me out. Mole, tom if you're out there, sports, Hans, anyone please

Agreed. I think both Isco and Hames are great players. I actually wanted Isco at Barca since his Valencia days. Not sure why in the world they would want Cesc over either of those 2, and it's not like it would site Barca fans as most of us wanted him to leave and don't want him back.

Marca quoted the english sources in their article. The only way we go after Cesc is if Perez wants to stick it to Barca. I guess we will see how much ZZ rates James tonight in the Bernabeu friendly. He was able to get away wirh it vs Sevilla with his "he's still unfit" excuse. If James doesnt start then he should leave for his own sake

He's nothing but an expendable asset to a club, one that would get benched and shipped out as soon as he becomes unwanted. and a club is nothing but a paycheck for him. He's a footballer not a soldier fighting for his country. Jesus.
