Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
With a Santi successor something we've all discussed and Cech's patchy form leading to some questioning his place (I still think he's a great keeper but one who's declined), I'm curious as to how you guys feel about Wilshere and Szczesny's futures at the club.
They seem to have both done well on loan although there are question marks (fitness and concentration to name one for each). But they seem to be ready made products returning.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Both Wilshere and Szczesny should return, especially Szczesny. That is if they even want to return.
Wilshere to take Ramsey's place, a new CM to take Cazorla's and Szczesny Ospinas.
I'd want to see this happen if Wenger is our manager next season. Otherwise, give everyone a chance to impress the new manager.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Think we need to stop going after these small technical weak tiki shata bullshit midfielders. Have done nothing for us.
Bid for Fellaini, Get Moussa Sissoko in and go after Kondogbia.
----Kondogbia----Sissoko-------
-------------fellaini--------------
Mahrez------Giroud------Mandzukic
Pace, power and steel.

The AST estimate that Arsenal will have c.£120m cash available to spend on transfers & contract renewals in the summer. Plus any sale(s).

lmaoooo as usual
We'll probably have over 200m after we sell Sanchez and Ozil. Hopefully Coquelin too.

No-one can transition the ball from midfield to attack like Cazorla can. Wilshere is nowhere near that level.

Kroenke has never blocked Arsenal transfers or funds so I wouldn't worry about that. So long as we get that PL and CL revenue he will not be bothered by what happens at the club.

Chilean midfielder Marcelo Allende, 17, trained with Arsenal's first team - he's had trials with the club and may be signed in months to come

Good to see we're signing South American kids that'll never get a work permit and will spend most of their time on loan before leaving without a single first team appearance..

You can rejoice in the fact that once the Brexit is in effect, it won't matter whether you sign South American or Middle European kids, neither will get a work permit

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Selling all those players is a pretty ridiculous suggestion imo. Every player in this team has had their moments at one point or another where we thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. Get a new manager, I hope Simeone (hope =/= expect though), and add a true DM and striker, maybe a LB given Monreal's decline this year. That's it, that's all we need.
You see how big of an improvement Chelsea made purely by changing the manager, same with Liverpool, Utd, and then look at our squad to theirs...we are close to winning titles but we are far too predictable tactically. We aren't aggressive. The raw talent, the fundamental team is there. We just need to add to it, not change everything and risk ruining our fundamentals.

Just curious if anyone could recommend me the one definite best all around Arsenal news twitter account? Sort of like what Barca_stuff used to be with Barca?
Thanks in advance

Our future manager Allegri has requested that Arsenal try to sign Serbian unit Sergej Milikovic-Savic from Lazio this summer

Arsenal must sort out Wenger issue ASAP. Otherwise it would hamper their summer transfers.

Obviously this rumor is fake but Milinkovic is legit. I was really impressed at the start of the season on how much he had improved, started watching him regularly and he has come through the whole season. Very promising and very good already. Keita, Anderson and Immobile get the popularity in Lazio, but its Milinkovic that I would be most interested in.

Why the hate though? He's a good squad player when he's limited to the role he actually knows how to play. Wenger making him take on B2B duties accentuates his garbage traits. He's one of the many players in the squad being very poorly managed atm.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
The tactics make him look worse, but even then Coquelin's only real skill is tackling. His passing we've all talked about. What goes under the radar is that his positioning and reading the game is poor as well.
His best moments have always been winning tackles in midfield, either by anticipating and winning it on the halfway line or making a good recovery tackle. But ask him to sit in front of a defence (as we have done against Pool and Chelsea recently) and he's lost. Hazard and Lallana ruined him.
It's part of the reason he only ever looks good next to Cazorla. Cazorla covers his poor positioning.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Putting him alongside Xhaka, Ramsey, Elneny, players who can't maneuver out of pressure is a huge problem. Xhaka is too one footed, Coquelin has poor technique in general and gets caught out in uncharted territory when he plays B2B.
It's hard to believe that after a two week break, we played a Xhaka-Coquelin midfield at Anfield like we weren't anticipating heavy pressure.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all want to leave Arsenal this summer [Telegraph]
Oxlade reports are recent. But most suspect that this is power play. He actually loves Arsenal. Think he is fishing for a better contract.
If he keeps up his recent performances (best player in 2017 perhaps?) then he deserve it.
