He would be a very good signing if we needed to replace Busquets. To sit on the bench and play... 10 games? a season, it's unnecessary.

Busquets, as a DM, still has 3-4 years as an indisputable starter.

Weigl seems awesome but seriously it would be a waste with Busq around. The club should focus on getting a proper players in positions we need. Like a right back, and maybe a proper winger (enough of the midfielders on the wings crap we've been doing)

It's absurd how much Luis Enrique is benching him for no reason this season. Just to play his guy Gomeshit.

Idk what's wrong with Lucho this season. I never liked the guy as a coach, but this season in particular he has got more stubborn than ever. It's ridiculous. He's taking our season down with him

Valverde's contract runs out in June this year, that option seems very possible as of now.

Valverde is a very good option to be honest.
Unlike Luis Enrique, his coaching career before signing for Barcleona is that of success:
Triumphed at Espanyol
Triumphed in Greece
Triumphed in Valencia
Failed at Vila-real, though players wanted him out and posterior managers didn't improve him much.
Triumphed at Bilbao.

While Luis Enrique had only done OK jobs at Roma and Celta and posterior managers did much better than him.

Wouldn't mind Pochettino either, he's triumphed everywhere too, but perhaps he's a bit more of a wild card?

You ask me, with the signing of this kid and Marlon, it's pretty clear the club is looking ahead to life without Matheiu and Mascherano. Mathieu hardly plays anyway, I wouldn't have a problem with selling Mathieu in the summer and promoting Marlon to get his game time, while leaving this new kid in the B team for 2-3 years or so get him used to our game in Europe plus maturing. As far Mascherano, Umtiti has already proven he should be starting ahead of him.

2015/16 season:
Pique, Umtiti, Masch, Mathieu
2016/17 season:
Pique, Umtiti, Masch, Marlon gets promoted

Makes sense to me. Possibly sell Mascherano as well and replace him with a solid back up CB with high potential and we finally fixed our CB issues we been trying to fix since the early Pep days

Selling? I wouldn't have problem club killing Mathieu. How good is the kid btw. Also why not some established CB if we are going for one. Not necessarily a big name but the guy shouldn't wet his pants playing when teams press us like wild dogs.

Umtiti is gem though.

Well that kid we just got won't be ready for 2-3 years maybe. Marlon has shown he can easily be Mathieu's replacement. If we sell Mascherano then we should deff go for another Umtiti type guy to replace him.
