I was saying that to my son today about how lucky Chelsea have been in keeping them 2 fit.

Süle is not average, he's one of the best young CB's out there.

Rudy is average but also free, will be a good depth player for a few years. Meh.

Solid business but this sucks for Hoffenheim. Back to fighting relegation next season.

Sule is a great young talent. Fantastic choice. He is like 21 odd. So Boateng/Hummels can play at a top level for for 5-6 years & then Sule will be peaking - So the age thing fits & our CB's are very injury prone.

But Rudy would be a bad buy unless we have can sell him for 8-10M in 1 season. We have extended Rafinha so where does Rudy play?

Rudy is not good enough to start for Bayern @ RB. I liked Kimmich @ RB, he is not technically good enough to start at midfield for Bayern. Apparently he is playing DM too nowadays & he surely not Bayern quality at that position.

It's never really been the personnel with English teams they have usually had great players and fantastic attacks since the mid 2000's it's just their style of play and tactics in europe don't cut it. Just because they have great defenders doesn't mean they will defend well.
