Who will advance to the quarter-finals?
Re: UCL Last 16: Manchester City vs AS Monaco
Otamendi has been pretty shocking in buildup when I saw him this season. Does stuff like passing a simple pass instead to full back straight into out of bounds, a couple of times a game.
Maybe Pep knows there's no way this City team can keep the ball secure enough to be defensively sound. They need to outscore their opponents.

I saw the light, he's trash. Zapata is better.

It really is *bleep* hilarious that Bravo has flopped so hard that Pep has now resort to starting Caballero after pushing out hart lmao
Hart supposedly not good enough with his feet? Caballero is surely one of the worst GKs with his feet at any current top team

Monaco are so athletic and yet technical. Amazing team even if they get knocked out.

Spot on. The only athletic player City have is Sane and maybe Dinho. This is a tactical masterclass by Jardim.

They won't be able to keep the work rate up all game. Hopefully they keep defending tightly not letting any of City's speedy wingers through

Wonder what Pep has up his sleeves for the 2nd half. Good game so far. Monaco have done an excellent job.

Re: UCL Last 16: Manchester City vs AS Monaco
Loool Man C look clueless and so does Pep, I think next 45mins will be crucial for Pep, his reputation and everything on the line. I mean the way Monaco played that perfect first half, absolutely bossed everything, and Pep leaving Fernandinho overrun in midfield is laughable really. Man C 0 shots on goal and couldnt even venture into Monaco's final third at all, its shameful to watch.
If Monaco can keep this up and Pep doesnt change things, he really probably shows hes a fraud. I hope that doesnt happen and he pulls something.....

If Pep doesnt change and show he can turn things around in the next 45mins Im done with him ffs. This setup and performance so far is shameful.

It's the channels. Remmeber when we spolke and said City used the channles effectively in the EPL. They have never faced anything like this before
Monaco block the centre in the build up then force them to go wide, isolate their FBs and wingers and then get the ball back. They are using man marking and the athleticism of the CMs means they can cover the flanks very quickly and get back into the cntre if they have to.
Next goal will decide the game. The Cms cant keep this up so they need to score and be compact .
Tactical masterclass
