Ivan Gazidish is hell bent on getting a shporting director at the club and he won't shtop until he getsh one.

Marc Overmarsh is the mosht likely option but Francish Cagigao and Robert Piresh have alsho been linked with the job.

Overmars responds to Arsenal rumours

The former winger, who is currently sporting director at Ajax, is reportedly on a shortlist being considered by Arsenal as they look into the possibility of appointing their first ever director of football.

Overmars spoke to Fox Sports on Thursday evening about the rumours and admitted that a role with his former club could be a possibility in the future.

He said, “I know the club pretty well and I have always kept in touch with Arsenal.

“As a player I had the ambition to play in Europe. It might be an option in the future.

“I think there is a list with names, and I’m on it. It’s not strange since I’ve had a good time at Arsenal. But I’ve just signed a new contract at Ajax. So we will see what it brings.”

Wenger reiterates that Arsenal structure doesn't need to change. Says he doesn't know about Overmars being candidate for sports director.
