the news of Reus being out for 6 months has me wondering

that Dortmund hyped team from years ago..Reus, Gotze, Sahin, Gundogan, Kagawa

none of them have lived up to even half of the hype (I know Reus and Gundo are injured constantly)

wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if these Monaco players head in a similar direction, let's see them perform for another season on this level before you start throwing around 50m at each of them

For some of them i agree, i don't think this applies to Fabinho and Bernado Silva though.

It would not surprise me if half of the Monaco players linked with big europe clubs will not be as good as these clubs expect them to be. Jardim built a wonderful cog which will work even after these players are gone.

It will be interesting to see them in a team that is not playing so well and they'll be heavily relied on individual skills. Mbappe will pass the test but I'm still unsure about the others. Thomas Lemar especially seems like a one season wonder.

I think they will all succeed. Jardim's cog was nothing special in terms of set up or tactics. It's not like you are signing Pedro thinking he is a top 5 winger and well, he is not.

What you can expect however is to see them struggle because at the end of the day they are not world class yet

except for Mbappe of course

Bernado Silva has been hyped for a one time now, Farfan's thread is testament to that lol.

I personally saw Fabinho perform on at least one occasion before this season so i think he's legit too, hell he was being linked with PL clubs before this year.

The likes of Lemar, Mendy and Bakayoko are definitely a question mark though i'd agree with that.

The rest I wasn't particularly impressed with, including Bakayoko, and in the case of Lemar, he looked like a scrub in CL.

Lemar did look shite against Juve

and tbh you have to remember Thauvin, Valbuena etc are tearing up that league from the wing

Depay's scoring goals from the halfway line after not being able to dribble past stationary cones in the PL

I do think he and Bakayoko look like future flops IMO

Suarez last season at Pool shits all over it, as does the season Yaya scored 20 goals from midfield and for me Kane's performance this year too, a goal a game is nothing to stiff at and probably would have broken Shearer/CR/Suarez shared record for goals in a season if he stayed fit.

There's others too, i call you out on it because it's utterly ridiculous kneejerk reaction to something which isn't even close.

Especially when the last 3 months of the season he did next to nothing and most of Leicester's wins were decided by 1-0 goal and lots of clean sheets, not some amazing play from Mahrez.

I don't want to shit on him, but this is ridiculous. Especially coming from a Man Yoo fan tbh, seeing as Cristiano and Roonay have both have had better seasons for you than Mahrez did last season.

Yeah, Lemar's performance against us completely turned me off the player. It wasn't that he was misplacing passes or making a couple of bad calls, it was that he did everything wrong. It was like having him on our side. Reminded me of someone like Taarabt.

Normally I wouldnt have had a problem with a deal like this cos it seems he fits the bill to what we need like a T, but the fact that we are paying 50m!! ffs I thought the whole point of getting CL was that we wouldnt have to pay bounties to get what we need anymore. The only problem about Perisic is he is Croatian , if he was Portoguese / Brazilian / Argentinian ppl didn't get problems with the price.
Or ppl hadn't problem to overhype him.

1 he is our 2nd best player , so hard to replace it , pls you don't buy even Berardi (downgrade) with that money
2 it's an insane mercato , where players costs 15 mln + than they are worthy, so what's the problem about Perisic
3 Manchester United have so much money that overpay even Bailly, so we don't want to be the only one

In conclusion , leave to Inter so everyone is glad for it

Lemar had a much better second half of season than Silva and was more involved than him in the City and Dortmund matches.
