Wenger searched the entire transfer window for top, top , top talent and nobody that would not improve our squad to find Lucas! He will be 28 in 2 weeks and is a perennial 2nd division guy with no resale value.

The bad part about being a Arsenal supporter. We are always watching through the transfer windows begging for top quality players to come in and take over the in the positions that we really need. Especially when Wenger tells the world that he will only sign top, top top, talent and that he is always having a hard time finding anyone in the world that will improve the squad. then at the very end of the window he brings in a Perez, Park, or Kalstrom player and we have to try and be happy hoping to get anything out of them.

He could be a very decent striker for us. Scored/assisted/generally played well every time he was on the pitch and was never rewarded for it. Then you have players who couldn't play worse and they wouldn't get benched.

Imagine scoring a Champions League hat trick and then getting benched for four months straight? Can't imagine what would have convinced AW to start him.
