Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Nothing you said there actually detracts what i said lol.
Never said he's awful, just that if Grosskreutz could score he'd be at a very similar level to Perisic.
That's all i said, i agree he's a 25-30m player in todays market where as Grosskreutz is probably a 10m player lol.
That's why i made the comparison, there's not enough quality difference between the two to seperate them by 40m+ in value lol.

Seems like we are signing him on loan.

Here's a thread from a Bristol fan on how Tammy did while he was with them. There are 2-3 posts (over a period of time) in there giving an in-depth assessment on him.

If Rafa works with him, I think you guys will get a lot of goals out of him. We've turned down signing some really talented young strikers like Gabigol because of him. We just let Solanke leave too because Abraham is rated higher.
There's also this http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/186302-the-tammy-thank-you-thread/
A1 character.
Thanks, i know he scored a lot in the Championship and considering Gayle is the only striker we have Rafa truly trusts he'll get a lot of opportunities for us i imagine. ( especially considering Gayle's spotty at best injury record)

Newcastle better do good i'm bandwagoning the *bleep* out of them next season as part of my long term ambition of expanding the Black & White sporting Empire.
Buy 2-3 of our bench players and you'll walk into top 6.

I fear you might want to bandwagon elsewhere and then jump on saying you were there all along.
I wouldn't be surprised if we struggle first season tbh.

Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Robespierre wrote:Now Grosskreutz is better than Perisic
He's not better, but they are basically the same profile of player IMO.
Difference is Perisic scores goals, that's about all that seperates them IMO.
Which isn't enough to understand the value of 40m euros difference
But why this is the mercato.
Who you spend with 25 mln now ? A sensation as Schick that played a year in career. Or Domenico Mehrardi.
Why Inter should sell to that price a solid player for years (yes Footy is right, he was great also in Wolfsburg ) , a solid winger that scores 10+ goals every year, work rate, great header, not incredibly technique (but good dribbler imo ,not a donkey though ) ma anyway fast ?
No real reasons, so you must spend a good amount of money.
This is the mercato , it is not rational , players cost more than they are worthy. It is not just for Perisic.
He is great, even if Hap insists on no ( but Shaqiri ? : cigs: ) , Inter is one of worst place for a football player at this moment yet he was effective.
If he was effective even here, no doubts he is a real player. Underrated, basically.
The only Inter player really appreciated from me (that's why he is on GL banner ) . For the rest, I hate them everyone not worthy of this jersey.

Not that I disagree Robes, but I feel like from your posts that if you sold him it would be the end of the world.
I mean as a fan of an incompetent football club I can sympathise, but I fear like you are are letting your fear of losing a great performer for you mean you can't replace him.
I guess what I'm saying is, believe!

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Perisic is one of the best players in Serie A outside of Juve IMO. I totally see what Robes is saying, I mean you have the likes of Renato Sanches, Mario, Gomes etc going for that price or more, sure Perisic is old but we can probably get 3-4 years out of him if he comes so it works out like 10m a season
I'll take him anyway, it's not my money at the end of the day
I'd 100% take Perisic and a legit out and out striker than Griezmann for 100m all day every day

Firenze pls. I rate Perisic as well, even told it to Robes when he didnt believe at first, but come on. Unless you mean like top 20 outside of Juve.

He said nothing of strange tbh
This is Serie A, unless we want to rate Atalanta players just because they got a 4th place

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Anyway, Perisic would be a fine player under Mourinho. No doubt. The money is ridiculous but I guess United doesn't care about that.
Without checking the figures, just from memory, Perisic would be more expensive than any player we've ever signed except Higuain and maybe Buffon...

Yeah , it looks like strange said by an Inter fan that saw many top players in 20 years (begun with Ronaldo in 97 ) , while Perisic is a good player, but it is matter of period.
Perisic is the best that we can strive , and even if he is not rated as top he is very good player definitely .
basically it is hard to reborn if you have few good players and you sell your best . And not just because our sporting director is shocking that misses the 90 % of signings. That' s the point.
If Inter sell Perisic and Roma sell Salah , as it seems, it's going to call reflection for next CL race. Considering Milan big money too.. because I am sure Inter and Roma won't replace them worthily and they're vital players for these teams. Even if Roma has a very good structure though ( but also Di Francesco is not absolutely Spalletti)

So, shouldn't we rate with Perisic for performing? or are the only ones whose performances you don't acknowledge the ones from Atalanta?
Which is not even relevant, you can exclude Atalanta and Juve players and still Perisic wouldn't be one of the best. Unless, like I said, "best" means more like top 20.

Enough convinced we weren't 7 because of Icardi, Perisic and Handanovic ( our 3 best playerrs ).
Anyway I don't think it's strange to consider it one of best Serie A players outside Juve
At the end in Italy there are 5-6 teams at most, the rest is garbage.
Atalanta is the new Sassuolo , we 'll see it next year.

Do you consider Perisic a top 5 player in the league outside of juve?

This season, Belotti, Dzeko, Mertens, Keita, Donarumma were top 5 outside Juve.

I agree that those are in the conversation. I would have Hamsik and Nainggolan. Then we can add Insigne, Koulibaly and Manolas.

So without thinking too hard there is 10 already. Plus we are excluding Juve. That's the level of player we are talking about.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Imagine Perisic in Torino
Score 20 goals IMO
Guys, playing in provincia is extremely easier than on top clubs because of spaces. Just saying Eder, Immobile,Suazo etc
AH, Manoals was really crap last 3 months , I'd have signed him just because there is not best available CB on mercato.
Rudiger played better than him,but I rather the Greek though . I don't change idea for 2-3 months

We are even missing Icardi, Szczesny, Gomez, Salah, etc.
I agree about the spaces being smaller for big teams of course, but you have wingers like Insigne and Salah destroying teams while at the big clubs.
Perisic's level is around that of Callejon or Bonaventura. Very good, but not the best.

That applies for strikers Robes but not so much for Wingers imo, in fact I'd guess he'd struggle to get similar stats because the players around him will waste chances and put him in a bad position.
It would unquestionably be a good signing Man Yoo though, mainly because he'd fit Mourinho like a glove. I just think the money is absolutely obscene.

I agree. Good player, especially for Mou. The money though
I mean Man U can afford it so good on them, but it's laughable, like spending 30m on Sissoko
