Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
I think the stakes are increased now after reading the latest rumors
City should be winning all the trophies they'll be competing for next season otherwise their season will be deemed a failure IMO
As for Pep, he should win the league/Champions league at minimum or he better be ready to be clubbed alongside the esteemed list of managerial catastrophy's like Mancini and Mazzarri.

Anything less than a Double (PL+?) should be sack-able next season for Pep. If we sign the players we have targeted (Mendy, Van Dijk, Sanchez, Walker, FB, and CM) to minus Mbappe.
Also a two year loan with obligation to buy

Even if they buy all the players linked (they won't) No intelligent person actually believes they are better than Madrid, Juventus, Bayern and so on.
Would say Barca too but their midfield is trash, PL yes but CL no.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
With examples like Cuadrado on a 3 year loan + obligation to buy. Why even buy players when you can just loan them for x number of years.
I get why its done, to delay payment due to FFP. But since their not in Europe they shouldn't be concerned unless their betting on qualifying for it next year. And not being in the same situation as Inter was this season. But player transfer fee is already amortize for the length of their contact. So Milan can't even afford Transfer Fee divided by 4 or 5 years? Fee is rumored to be less than €28m, that comes out to €7m or €5.6m.

@Firenze, weren't you telling me the other day that in Manchester , City fans are craving for that CL title and that there is a sense of confidence and belief in their team to challenge for that CL crown?
The owners have also promptly backed it up with massive investments to cater to the team's ambitions. They really want that CL now it seems(plus the league of course)
Wow. Never has there been one manager's reputation on the line more than Pep.

Your right. Not expecting City to Win the CL with a team full of 20-23 years but at least the Qrts/Semis of the CL should be the minimum. Domestic Double that includes the PL should be the goal.

Wait...what?
You were asking somebody who lives in Toronto the general consensus of the good folks of Manchester?
Obviously the ex-Fiorentina fan will have told you Manchester is blue therefore you were probably better off asking me.
What next....You looking on a map and correctly pointing out where Turin is?

Just putting it out there, you would think after pulling Pogba and that poverty Mickey mouse lad that you would follow it up with some more strengthening
Been rejected by everyone except Perisic and we're still waiting on that one. Not only that, imagine spending 45m on Perisic

fwiw whilst prices in football are a joke, Perisic could be lowkey a top 5 signing of the Summer. Will surely improve Uniteds left flank significantly.

More expanse than Sane + 7 years older and less potential
This is insane if true.
I'm pretty sure Kevin Grosskreutz is available for a bargain price of 35m € too, if Mourinho wants to sign as well the guy who benched Perisic at Dortmund

He is a poacher type striker; decent technically, eyes for goals, and good finisher. He has a had an amazing scoring record at the youth level. First year professionally he scored 26 goals for a regulated side at the championship level.

I suppose it is just a matter of age, because well , Perisic is a great player .
Genuinely convinced about the fact that ppl underrates him because never seen playing, he is Croatian, 29 years etc ( but he never gets injured, he is soild , so I can watching him playing for othe years)
For the rest I can remember the list of 45 mln players paid as Andre Gomes Joao Mario etc
It's normal price on this insane mercato
Most Inter fans even say he must be more highly rated .. Personally I don't want to sell him because he is the best with Icardi and I am sure we can just get a downgrade in that role.
We can't sign best player than him .
We haven't appeal atm .... So really nervous if he is sold.

Not even top 5 signing made by ego-tistical manaic this summer IMO.

He's not better, but they are basically the same profile of player IMO.
Difference is Perisic scores goals, that's about all that seperates them IMO.
Which isn't enough to understand the value of 40m euros difference

Here's a thread from a Bristol fan on how Tammy did while he was with them. There are 2-3 posts (over a period of time) in there giving an in-depth assessment on him.
http://www.theshedend.com/topic/30604-tammy-abraham/#comment-1274607
If Rafa works with him, I think you guys will get a lot of goals out of him. We've turned down signing some really talented young strikers like Gabigol because of him. We just let Solanke leave too because Abraham is rated higher.
There's also this http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/186302-the-tammy-thank-you-thread/

Ridiculous statement! Grosskreutz is a donkey, a good donkey to have who will run & run & maybe defend but that't it - Poor footballing ability, 1st touch, vision & just all-round a very poor footballer.
Perisic was fantastic for Wolfsburg as well, he is fast, can dribble, score & assist. He is not an elite or WC player but a decent player. Given his age, I would say 25-30M at best, but MU pay ridiculous amounts. He will bench Mata & Miki because he atleast is a winger & has much more speed (which is important in the wing). Mane IMO is definitely better than Perisic (forget Sanchez or Hazard level !)

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Nothing you said there actually detracts what i said lol.
Never said he's awful, just that if Grosskreutz could score he'd be at a very similar level to Perisic.
That's all i said, i agree he's a 25-30m player in todays market where as Grosskreutz is probably a 10m player lol.
That's why i made the comparison, there's not enough quality difference between the two to seperate them by 40m+ in value lol.
