He's a good signing. I think he'll be a good striker for them without lighting up the league. He's not Kane but he's still a top 3 striker in the prem right now. Insane price to buy him for but that's the way the market is.

If Kane wants to leave and goes for anything less than 100m pounds it will be a fleecing. Lad is destined to be one of the greats.

Benzema actually scored 19 goals and dished out 7 assists in this bad year... not to mentioned saved our arse late in the season on a few occasions with some crazy goals/assists/key passes.

Morata was very good against scrubs... consistent there. I'll give him that.

Ba? lol. His best season didn't even get him to 19 goals. His career high was 16.

Lukaku scored more than both Benny and Morata so it pains, physically pains me to admit Mole may actually be right about the latter.

The most worrying thing is Lukaku can be marked out of the game by a half decent defender. Blind for example kept him quiet once.
He will be a really good option against fodder clubs and a huge improvement for us in that aspect (as it was one area where we struggled last season) but when playing against big boys we need to have another player leading the line, perhaps Rashy.

Except Lukaku had one of the best goal returns against the top 6 last season...ffs do ppl just talk shit without looking at actual stats before they pretend to form an opinion.

He was saying that Ba is better than Benz.

Lukaku isn't better than Benz either (or Morata for that matter imo).  He's one of those guys that kills it with a mid table team as he gets freedom and his average technical skills aren't an impediment.  But on a top team, you're playing with technical guys and you need to do more than just your own thing.  Build up gets more intricate and spaces get smaller as teams sit back against you.

Ba, Adebayor, etc.  Take your pick.  Same mold of player.

The summer barely started and the Verratti saga has virtually ended already....so they still have 2 months minus 1 week. I would think in this time they can bring in someone of good quality but knowing them, they won't. It's not easy to be a Barca fan these days, if not for Messi we would be in shambles.

That's surprising. Yet why it seems like he's always playing poorly when facing a big team?! I guess he's doing his job which is scoring goals.
Anyway, just can't get excited with this transfer however hard I try. As long as its delivering results I guess everything's fine.

People judging Lukaku against big teams where he's clearly the only relevant player to worry about.

Outside of him Everton are not even a top 10 side ffs, I have been critical of him in the past but some of the things being said are clearly ignorant by people who hardly watch him.

He scored 25 league goals last year in a very average team, if the likes of Morata ever do that in his career you all will be throwing a party ffs.

Lukaku is a good player for Man Utd. Who were the other options? I think it's a great move from Mou & co.
