More on the Alexis stuff:

Various sources saying City want to pay cash only, and it's Arsenal who are pushing for a swap. They've asked for Aguero but Aguero wants none of that. Sterling is apparently more open to it. There's also talk of Delph being involved as well ( rofl

I don't think they have any plan, or at least Wenger is convinced he has one, we are heading for another season without champions league football in 2018/2019. They are victims of the market and they barely made any move to significantly improve their team or to sign highly rated talents that can turn the fate of their team.

Signing a player like Lacazette for 60 millions means nothing, it does not make him a star capable of lifting a team like Arsenal. He is a good player he will get his goals here and there but like giroud, he won't allow you to reach année level and his yearly injury is coming up at some point too.

Poorly managed club that extended a washed up manager like Wenger, not sure what you expect when their best player is "desperate to leave to win trophies"

And why not? Tbf Arsene was also sceptical but I laid it out in my email to him, and now he's on board.

However, instead of Sterling you should ask for Sané. Sané + Delph for Alexis, that would be fantastic.

2011 after the 8-2 at Old Trafford. Per Meretesacker, Andre Santos, Mikel Arteta, Yossi Benyaoun and Park Chu-Young all arrived. I remember how we were all excited about it rofl

Tbf Benayoun was clutch at the end of that season. Mertesacker and Arteta were good. The rest though...

Juve offered 33M for André Gomes but Barca wants 50M.

50 is a bit high for someone coming off a shit season. Hopefully an agreement will be reached soon, the clock is ticking and we need to cover for Marchisio.

I'd rather take a gamble on someone like Renato Sanches on loan with an obligation than pay 30+ for Gomes. Looked utterly clueless when I saw him play for Barca. Another bizarre move from Juve. Seem to live by the motto of one mans garbage is another mans treasure nowadays.

He was one of the top prospects in the world last year. Maybe he couldn't handle the pressure at Barcelona but he hasn't forgot how to play football, let's hope.

Gomes would do well in Italy, he used to remind me of Hernanes in his Lazio days. The Jacademy will put him back on the right track, it's our gift to Portuguese people.

Why would we want to spend upwards of 40M on a player who on current form is a younger Khedira who may or may not stop being shit? Pump that money into an improvement or don't bother.
