Re: MBAPPEEEEE
He is amazing... and he can play anywhere on the attack. No problem if CR wants to go central. Means very little. Mbappe was amazing as a lone striker this season when Falcao was out at Monaco and has been just as good playing with Falcao.
I'm actually optimistic for his future here because of Zidane. Without ZZ, i would want him as far away from Madrid until he matured more as possible

Bale is not going to be on the bench in this team, you either play him when he is fit or you sell him

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
Well i still i have to watch more of him and take it all in more, but based on some things i've read about him being a prodigy, future phenom, R9, and Henry, i'm not exactly as excited as some by what i've seen.
Seems like he could still be a little faster and have more killer technique/dribbling, and i haven't watched many overly impressive clips of his passing and interplay but it's more of the first two i ponder about. I get that he shows presence, potential, maturity, and an eye of the tiger feeling but i AM getting a calling an audi r8 a bugatti veyron kind of vibe.

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
Those are his two main assets NC... speed and technique. The stunning things that nobody expected were his intelligence, runs, passing and finishing ability. Speed and technique were a given.
In fact, they've asked him to slow down a bit so he uses his technique more this season, if that makes sense. He was just blowing by people at will and they felt he wasn't showing off his technique enough lol.

He would bench Benzema and Bale, we benched James so its not uncommon to bench a expensive player

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
Doesnt seem to be a natural to me tho from what i've watched this season, at least when it comes to dribbling and technique. He seems a tad bit too heavy. kinda reminds me of bale tbh but this time with an actual brain and a great finishing ability. Dunno i just love naturals ala neymar, R9, zizou, dinho at least as regards dribbling and technique.

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
James was just an impulse buy by Perez. He tried to buy Bale for a whole summer. When fit he is going straight to the line up. Mbappe is too overhyped, he wasnt any good against Juve or PSG the two games I watched of them. For 80mill prepare to be disappointed, if he was going for 40mill I'd take the chance. We already have a better striker lingering on the bench because the traffic cone is refusing to move from the line up. 3 seasons of top form and I am sold. This just looks like an impulse buy to me. Let him go to our feeder club and if he turns out good we can buy him no problem. Something tells me he turns out like Martial, all hype then dissappears when he's asked to lead a big team

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
seems like a Martial to me. nothing mind blowing to warrant more than 40 million....there's nothing he is doing that we dint see Benzema do in his Lyon days. watched a lot of his individual highlights..nothing special, anyone but benzema tho

from the look of it, we are on pae to sign:Adit wrote:Sell James and Benzema. Buy Mbappe, bring back Llorrente and shut up shop.
GK: De Gea
LB: Theo
DM: Llorente
CF: Mbappe
we will not sign a new midfielder unless one of ours leave. Likewise, if Pepe does not extend, then we need a new CB, hopefully not Vallejo. Nacho became battle tested with some big CL games. Otamendi

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
I think his overall end product is the most crazy thing. He is freaking 18 years old and averaging a goal or assist every 60th minute, it's ridiculous.sportsczy wrote:Those are his two main assets NC... speed and technique. Yeah his dribbling is definitely more pace dependent, i prefer more technical dribblers myself but as long as it get's the job done idc.Bankz wrote:Doesnt seem to be a natural to me tho from what i've watched this season, at least when it comes to dribbling and technique. I had some question marks about his ability to get past players as well but after seeing him against the likes of Barzagli, i'm more or less sold.

@Hala
Over hyped is the apt word to describe what is happening. He really is just a 18 year old wonderkid but I don't blame anyone for hyping him up to high heavens. He really leaves a lot to the imagination of what he can become when he "matures" as a footballer. The club won't do much wrong in pursuing him, at all.
Once we stop giving Levy money, I'm good.

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
Thank God Benitez isn't here or wed splash crazy money on Delle and Kane and finish the transformation to Spurs CF. If we can get Theo and Llorente then I am happy. Anyone else and it's just overkill unless you are preparing massive shake ups in the line up which won't happen of course. I made my peace with Benz suggest you guys do too

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
is he really this good, or is this just a case of us getting over-excited at a new signing? i haven't seen him play, so my question isn't a sarcastic one nor is it me trying to downplay him. but how good is he? and i'm not talking based on potential, i'm not saying how good can he be but how good is he right now? cos at madrid the 'right now' is very important
how well does he understand the game? is he someone who must play with the ball at his feet or does he also have good off ball movements and an understanding of when and when not to pass? and for those who watch him week in week out, how do you find him mentally? cos at madrid your mental fortitude is bound to be tested. i know he's young, but there's very little room for errors or mental weakness at madrid
if those who have seen him play regularly can please answer those questions....clips online do very little to reassure anything. even illaramendi and drenthe had good clips before we signed them

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
he is this good, football IQ is way high, his movements off the ball are really good, he makes good decisions with the ball, when to run, when to pass and he is playing fearlessly for now.
He is legit
And again his style and the way he plays football fits in perfectly on paper at least with the way CR currently plays football: Sometimes outside, sometimes inside. As i have said to break BBC we can't sign a winger like Hazard because CR is not going to be a full time CF, nor can we sign a pure CF like Lewansowski because he is useless wide. You want whoever you sign to be versatile and these guys in football today are rare. We should jump on Mbappe with both feet
Frankly he is going to bamboozled Benzema to the bench next season if he comes here.

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
To reiterate what Nick wrote Tito, he honestly looks like the real deal. He isn't a speed merchant like Walcott was, he actually uses his pace to compliment his technique on the ball which is surprisingly good. Not Messi good but good. He does more good things than dumb things (considering his age, the latter is to be expected). He really is worth the over hype and Madrid would not do itself harm by signing him which I think is gonna happen.
You say that and I literally don't believe you.

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
He's not Messi... but he can easily become Henry or better. He's that good.
You guys have to remember he's 18... and he's holding back. He really is. I saw him before this season when he was playing for France youth NT that won the Euro and a bit with Monaco last season. He hasn't cut loose because he's staying within the system that Jardim wants him to play. He has another gear or two that he's holding back.

This was when he was 16-17 lol

Re: MBAPPEEEEE
We need to shed deadweight. Benz,Bale and James. plus Mariano. Bottom line Ronaldo more CF and Isco plays more starts. Ascensio also in for more action. If they do shed deadweight, there is an opening for another forward.
I also have doubts if they keep Pepe. Was indications they would a couple of weeks ago. Still in doubt. My understanding Vallejo is coming regardless of Pepe, club willing to go with 9 defenders.
