EPL Week 3 - xG Results
Who has never heard about xG (expected goals) - basically it is a probability of shot to converted into a goal. It is based on distance, actions leaded to shot (corner, set piece, cross, dribble) and attack speed.
https://understat.com/league/EPL/2017 - all results here. I chose the most interesting:
1. Crystal Palace - Swansea. Welsh team wasn't even close to win and fair result here is a draw.
2. Huddersfield - Southampton. Home team deserved a win and I'm going to follow them this season, because they have a lot analytics who work with big data
3. Tottenham - Burnley. It's easy - no luck on Wembley
4. Liverpool - Arsenal. Wenger loves big data, so he'll be sure that it wasn't a game when Liverpool scored every possible moment they had.
