Yes, I like it better than the first one.
I'd say more of the same but definitely an improvement on the first one.
Re: General Games Discussion
After playing FF: Dissidia NT for quite a few hours now, I've come to the conclusion that it's a surprisingly good beat em up game with a deceptively deep battle system. The skill-based battle system and strategic elements make for a very satisfying game to attempt to master - In other words, it's not a typical casual game and probably doesn't hold much appeal towards casual players. It's a type of game that isn't for everyone, but they certainly put a ton of love and effort into polishing the game and making battles diverse and strategic with many features that left me initially confused. There are almost 30 available characters from the FF universe, and each one has a very different play style. I don't think anyone on here will like the game, but I think I've played the game enough to declare that it's objectively speaking, a very good game in it's genre. Tekken 6 looks like overly simplified garbage in comparison. Then again, I guess the majority of beat em ups these days are.
Sepiroth is potentially one of the strongest characters in the game, but It's so damn hard to chain together, and get the timing right with his attacks, so I've mostly been using Lightning, who can switch between using magic and melee by pressing the left thumb stick button. Picking the easier route makes me feel like a scrub, but I might actually get the game and try to master several different characters.
I had to follow an online skill guide, in order to understand how some of the character skills work. I also couldn't be arsed to play through the advanced tutorial, so it took me several hours before I actually understood how the game works God knows why there isn't a skill list and a simpler tutorial in the beta, considering the game has so many features that you don't just learn as you play.

I played the first Dissidia, liked it but felt it didn't have much depth. Never bothered with the sequels but heard it went arcadey

I haven't played any of them, only this beta version which was designed specifically to run on PS4 systems. But yeah, it is a very arcadey game, and I read that the Japanese arcade machines for the game run on an in-built PS4 based machine. The game has a 3v3 battle setup with more tactical depth, and situation and timing- based skills as opposed to the typical Street Figher/Tekken types which focus mostly on button mashing and advanced button combos, though.

Playing a meh game after a long time. That is Telltale's Batman. Plot is nonsensical and episodes keep crashing at the end credits all the time.

Tekken (for sure, been playing it forever) and Street Fighter (probably) really don't focus on button mashing. You get wrecked on Tekken online if you button mash at all or if you just stick to long combos. Its all about timing, you have to know the timing of all yours and their moves and try to it get creative with it and be quick as hell.
I'll try this Dissidia. Never played any of them as I didn't have a PSP. I was reading some discussions about it and it was mentioned as a sort of mix between Tekken and dota (moabs). Been playing dota for too long, love it, and love fighting games. That + FF got me interested.

Played it for the first time today. Got bored within 30 mins. @Thimmy
I agree. I mean Shadow of the Colossus is out in two weeks and could be great for people that haven't played the original but I'm not too interested in it since I have. Might be time for dat Blood and Wine TBH. Nothing looks good until Yakuza 6 and Devil May Cry Collection, for me.

Played 10 minutes and it was enough for me to decide it's a game made for nostalgic fans who probably loved the PS2 series.

Metal Gear Survive @RealGunner
forgot this was a thing, the concept seems good but I bet it isn't
gameplay in MGSV was fantastic and zombie type stuff is usually fun

Why @me? I only played a few games in the last beta, and only one of those games was enjoyable. It didn't seem like a casual game, where you could just jump right into it and know exactly what to do. I never learnt how to play the game properly, and I was pretty bored for the most part. I pretty much just spammed the default attack button, and it wasn't particularly fun. Then, I got into a game with 3 Japanese-named players who seemed to know exactly what they were doing, and I realized that the game probably ain't that bad if you're willing to find out how to play it the way it's designed to be played. I was dragging my team down team, but it was still decently fun being a useless cog in a team that actually knew how to work together on the highest difficulty level. Unlike you, I don't declare that a game is shit just because it's not my cup of tea That said, Monster Hunter is not for me.

Re: General Games Discussion
I just wish there was more variety in stealth. Like distracting soldiers using stone or something to lure them away. Also non-lethal weapons should be more of a thing. Maybe we might see that in Exodus.

Yeah it's quite bare bones tbh. The most in depth i got was switching lights off and finding underground passages, killing people then hiding back underground again like prime Batman in vents.

Re: General Games Discussion
I've decided to get Shadow of the Colossus in february. Kingdom Come: Deliverance seems interesting as well. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be anything interesting coming out until late march with Yakuza 6, Far Cry 5 and Ni No Kuni 2 the most notable titles.

Watched a video for kingdom come. Looked like an old version though since graphics looked like it belonged on ps3.
indie game so it won't be great either way.

Re: General Games Discussion
It looks interesting but i think it might be a little too realistic, not in terms of graphics but in terms replicating what medieval times were.
Don't really have any interest in it.
