#LFC have absolutely no interest in Besiktas defender Vida despite the persistent speculation. Klopp happy with CB options.

Mah boy Lovren getting that vote of confidence

Chelsea in talks over shock move for veteran goalkeeper Rob Green as they look to boost their homegrown quota

same reason we signed Lee Grant btw

[Romeo Agresti] Milan have a clear and concrete interest in Mattia Caldara and have held talks with Paratici and the players agent. Juventus have no intention of giving up the player and have told his agent that. They could sell Rugani or Benatia instead. Bonucci wants to return to Juventus.

Meh, just the typical Italian scrub that Juventus fans get excited about almost every year. Keep waiting for that " Italian core ".

Yeah, not wanting to swap an Italian with another Italian, really helps with the 'Italian core' argument

Schar seems like a great signing mole, has that Brexit feel to his game.

Bonucci is over 30 and has very little upside. Caldara and that other scrub Rugani are hyped up by JJ fans because they're young and Italian.

Both Won't amount to shit, and I'm saying this having watched 0 minutes of these two. :coffee:

It's more that were potentially swapping a promising player for one that left us just last summer in a crude way. That will never sit well if it happens

I'm not talking about this particular deal. It makes sense to bet on a younger player, especially after Bonucci's season and considering the way he left.

My half-troll/half-serious post was mostly about Juventus fans' propensity to get overly excited about young Italian players. I've seen it happen many times this decade and most of these players didn't live up to the hype.

Not going to get excited about a signing which is only made because we sold our 3rd choice CB lol.

We'll be fine because Rafa but that doesn't make it any less annoying.

Dont rate Rugani all that highly. Its like Frenzy hyping Bailly when we all know he's a glorified bouncer(@ES) but Caldara is legit tbh. Losing him for Bonucci would destroy my mercato mood altogether.

I've always said that Rugani is overrated, even when he was hyped on GL (but on the other hand Lemina was new Vidal etc )

Thomas Tuchel has asked PSG to sign Jérôme Boateng. The manager has already met Boateng before the World Cup. Furthermore, Julian Draxler and Kevin Trapp spoke with the defender about Paris' project. PSG started talks with FC Bayern who are asking for €55m [@parisunited6]

Football is about excitement. Everyone does it. We shouldn't forget Jese 'new CR' Rodriguez, Illaramendi, Achraf, Vallejo, etc.

Who hyped them? Jesé was very talented before his injury, but the rest? We used to dismantle them with criticism every single day, especially Illarra, Achraf and Vallejo.

Only Valky hyped them, and that's because he has a thing for mediocre players.

I don't understand? I said that Jesé was very talented before his injury. After that, he got very bad.

The rest were and are still very bad. Where's the hype here?

And as for that famous Rugani hype:

http://www.goallegacy.net/t38055-daniele-rugani-24?highlight=rugani

I always found it strange when I read he is overrated, I've never seen a post really rating him as anything more than a promising defender, is that overrating? He's still just 23 years old. He played behind prime Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli.

At 26 appearances this season, he was solid. Most of us actually wanted to see him play more.

The main issue with his game is he's too passive. He's not aggressive enough in making his challenges for Allegri's liking.

But if we're going to hold a whole group accountable for the action of one, then we won't see the end of it.

My point is, only valky tends to hype mediocre players. The rest of the Madrid section are usually pretty ruthless.

[Di Marzio] Inter closer to Vrsaljko

Inter is well into no excuses territory, who is going to stop them? hmm @robespierre
On a serious note, Inter's mercato has been underrated

[Fabrizio Romano] Joaquin Correa from Sevilla to Lazio! Done deal, 5-years contract

Felipe Anderson replacement. Should be a good fit for Inzaghi. I remember him at Sampdoria

[Sky]- Chelsea put £62m tag on Alvaro Morata ahead of AC Milan talks

For whatever reason, Milan prefer Morata to Higuain. They will fund Chelsea's purchase of Higuain if they execute on this move.
