As harsh as I've been on Sevilla, they'd be coming away with something if not for Ter Stegen tonight.

Here me out Jay, after the Madrid game, I really thought (on my own) that Sevilla was gonna really put in a proper La Liga run this season. I genuinely thought this was gonna be a different sort of mentality. Obviously, I was extremely wrong.

I had hope, too, but as tonight shows, no matter how well they play, some teams have too much quality to be beaten over 38 games.

Maybe Sevilla will get 4th place, but a title challenge is way too far beyond a team like them.

Props to Sevilla for still playing for the win in the last 10 minutes

Didn't think the Alba handball was intentional tbh.

At least Sevilla made chances tonight. First 20 mins they crapped themselves and pretty much lost the game, but they carved out some good opportunities at a difficult ground. That's encouraging.

yeah but in the past La Liga refs have been handball nazis caring very little for intent so I'm still a bit unsure.

Not sure who should Barcelona be grateful for more for their potential upcoming La Liga win; Messi or Florentino.

I mean, don't get me wrong, it's not like they need any helping hand, but my god did Florentino make their job a thousand times easier with his cheapness.

Speaking of Messi, Barca reckon he'll be out for three weeks with a fracture in his arm. That rules him out of the Clasico.

I don't remember a Clasico in recent memory that didn't feature Messi or Ronaldo in any capacity.

If I'm not mistaken, I think he also didn't play when they beat Rafa's Madrid 0-4 at the Bernabeu. Neymar and Suarez went god mode that day.

Anyway, I wish him a speedy recovery.

IMO we can hurt Barca on the counter. but the problem is we can't defend.

Yeah no problem on the offensive end. Went 500 minutes without scoring, and defense is the problem.

Why you don't talk about how many goals we conceded in that 500 minutes? against some of the worst teams in Liga and CL.

I would Expect some CBs to move into different area in this graphic if/when they move to bigger clubs,Calero for example

I'm sorry maybe I'm stupid but I don't get these graphs.
So one axis is "accurate passes per 90" and the other "long accurate passes per 90".
Is the first axis all passes or only passes that are not 'long'? If it's all passes, why would you have two axises that partly contain the same data?
And what a number is "accurate passes per 90"? Is it completed passes per 90 minutes? But without the number of incompleted passes, why would we call it accurate? Sounds misleading.

its more fun when there's some evenness....besides, we've done a good job of bashing ourselves over the course of the season. if messi had played , we'd have really gotten it, cos the scoreline.....let's not even get into that. and i'm still mad at pool for selling them suarez.

it will be interesting to see what manager madrid get next. looks like they will have to poach a manager from another club because i cant think of any top managers that are not in a job right now.
